Mr. P.V. Rao, a retired Chief Commissioner of Income Tax and seasoned IRS officer, has had a distinguished career in both public and private sectors. Presently serving as an Independent External Monitor appointed by the Government of India, he oversees Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd and holds advisory roles in Aeries Technology Ltd, Sujith Foundation, and Kaligotla Snigdha Foundation. With vast experience in domestic and international taxation, Mr. Rao has represented the government before parliamentary committees and served as a Member of the Union of India representing before FATF. His earlier roles include monitoring government undertakings and contributing to the State Bank of India in various capacities. Mr. Reddy set up First Securities, an equity broking firm on the major exchanges which grew to be one of the largest retail brokerages in Bangalore in early 2000.
