Dr Bronwen Eldridge

Dr Bronwen Eldridge graduated from Monash University in 1987 and obtained her specialist qualification (FRANZCOG) in 1997. Initially working as both an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist she ceased private obstetric practice in 2003 to concentrate on gynaecology. She has a broad experience in general gynaecology consulting, office procedures and surgery. During her training, she worked at Monash Medical Centre, Box Hill Hospital, and in England at St Albans and Hemel Hempstead Trust and at Southend. Privately she consults at Eastern Gynaecology most weekdays, and Epworth Eastern Ekera once per month. She has operating sessions at Mitcham Private Hospital and Epworth Eastern Hospital. Dr Eldridge is also employed as a Senior Consultant at Box Hill Hospital (Eastern Health) approximately one day per week. Her interests include all areas of consultative and operative gynaecology, including management of abnormal pap smears, management of heavy periods including fibroids, management of polyps, menstrual disorders, vulval disorders, menopause management, contraception, endometriosis, and management of ovarian cysts.

Dr Denise Koong

Dr Denise Koong completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 1988. She attained her specialist degree as a Fellow of the RANZCOG in 1999 having gained experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Perth, the United Kingdom, and then completing her training at Box Hill Hospital, Monash Medical Centre and The Northern Hospital in Melbourne. Denise has been working as a specialist gynaecologist (and obstetrician until 2003) in both private practice and at Box Hill Hospital since 1999. She provides care in many areas of general gynaecology including colposcopy (& management of abnormal Pap smears), laparoscopic surgery, management of menstrual disorders, contraception, menopause as well as management of fibroids and endometriosis. Denise consults privately at Eastern Gynaecology in Mitcham but also has consulting sessions at 195 Specialist Centre, Bulleen. She operates at Mitcham Private Hospital, and has a public hospital appointment at Box Hill Hospital as a consultant specialist. Dr Denise Koong is a member of the Australian Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) and the Australasian Menopause Society (AMS). She has presented research papers both nationally and internationally.

Dr Kate McIlwaine

Dr Kate McIlwaine graduated from Monash University in 1999 and subsequently undertook her Obstetrics & Gynaecology training through Monash Medical Centre and Box Hill Hospital. She was awarded the Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievement in the RANZCOG Clinical Membership Examination in 2005. Kate went on to complete an Advanced Laparoscopy Fellowship at the Mercy Hospital for Women in 2009. She recently completed her Masters in Reproductive Medicine through the University of New South Wales. Kate specialises in minimally invasive surgery for the diagnosis and management of endometriosis and related conditions. Her special interests include endometriosis, infertility, complex laparoscopic surgery, menstrual management, operative hysteroscopy, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and contraception. Dr Kate McIlwaine consults in general gynaecology at Eastern Gynaecology in Mitcham; she provides all of her infertility consulting at her Heidelberg rooms (Genea). She has regular operating lists at Mitcham Private Hospital and Epworth Eastern Private Hospital. Kate also holds a public appointment as a Consultant Gynaecologist on the Endosurgery Unit at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg. Kate is a member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery Society (AGES), Fertility Society of Australia (FSA) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). She has presented research papers both nationally and internationally.
