This is an illustration I created for a Dia De Los Muertos-themed event. I tried to evoke Latinx traditions through the colors, makeup, and the gardenia flowers (known as the "flowers of the dead")...
I knew this design could not just reflect Latinx heritage - it also needed to be striking and different in order to pique interest.
