Richard is an international financial strategy expert and senior executive, and a nationally recognized Financial Services industry analyst, consultant, speaker and strategist. Since 2005 he has been President of Impact Partners, Inc., recently renamed MPW Insurance Solutions, Inc., a financial strategy firm specializing in strategic financial, tax planning, college planning, and financial education. He is also President of Matrix Private Wealth Solutions Investments, Inc., a Texas Registered Investment Advisory focused on wealth management. What he saw lacking at those institutions, he now provides to retirees, pre retirees and business owners to reach their retirement goals. The hallmark of his services is risk management. His credentials include a B.S. degree in Management and Finance from the University of Massachusetts, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from MIT in Financial Engineering and Strategy, and the professional designation of Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®) - both of which required advanced coursework in a broad range of financial subjects. As an Investment Advisor, Richard adheres to the Fiduciary standard of care, not just a suitability standard. A gifted and prolific writer and speaker, Richard has shared his expertise through numerous industry research papers and articles, and as a keynote and featured speaker at financial services conferences in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. His dedication to helping others succeed financially has led to a loyal, growing clientele and business. Richard holds an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, with concentrations in financial engineering and strategic management and a Certificate in Financial Engineering. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. in Management and concentrations in finance and mathematics. He holds the Series 66 Securities license. Richard is a frequent and avid traveler, loves to ski and mountain bike and has served on the board of directors of 7 companies. Currently, Richard serves on the board of Seattle-based Mana, LLC.

Shelley Hill

Shelley is a Compliance & Operations Officer with 28+ years of experience in Data Analysis, HR, Audit, Finance & Customer Relations. She would say she's been very lucky to be empowered and supported to lead the compliance and regulatory work for Matrix Private Wealth, a Registered Investment Advisor. As a good steward of the skills and experiences she's been blessed with, she works to further the quality of life of both people and animals. Working in the investment industry in compliance, operations, and client relations, Shelley fosters an environment of high-quality services directly with, and behind the scenes, for clients. Shelley's life objectives are for her, and those around her, both professional and personal, to live their best lives - client, co-workers, friends, family, animals and the land. Growing up in North West Indiana, a distant suburb of Chicago, education and success were not priorities in the environment in which Shelley was raised.While her grades may not have justified it, her emotional and passionate essay and personal interview gained her acceptance into Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. While not well known in California, Valparaiso University stands as the 5th highest rated regional institution in that region of the U.S.. Struggling in her first year, being academically unprepared, she fell into the right crowd and right academic mentor in her sophomore year at Valparaiso. This completely changed her academic career and, consequently, her life. With some introspection and heart-felt mentorship, Shelley eventually focused her academic career on Psychology concentrating on Industrial/Organizational Psych. Shelley completed her undergraduate degree, graduating with honors, and continued on at the nationally-ranked Illinois Institute of Technology, gaining admissions to the combined Masters and Ph.D. program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Shelley completed and was awarded the Masters of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She continued on to complete her Ph.D. ABD (all but dissertation). Lured away from completing her Ph.D. dissertation by a boutique Industrial Psychology Consulting firm, Shelley left the Ph.D. program and launched into her career. As part of her role then and for the next 20 years, Shelley worked with numerous world-class clients including financial services powerhouses, Charles Schwab and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Over the next 20 years, she continued to focus her career on Industrial Psychology (Executive and Employee Total Remuneration, Performance Management, Testing and Selection, Process and Flow Management, etc.) to Organizational Design and eventually, Compliance. It is this background and Compliance expertise that lead to Shelley join the Matrix Private Wealth Solutions team in early 2015, relocating her from Chicago, Illinois, to Southern California to lead the firms Compliance and Operations Group. As a Psychologist by training, she is also spearheading the development of the firm's research in the new and burgeoning field of behavioral finance. She is leading the research into this area and works with senior staff members to both understand and implement strategy that recognizes the roll of behavior finance in modern investing. Shelley is also actively pursuing her Series 65 Investment Management License, a requirement to hold the Compliance Manager title in the State of California, to give her the opportunity to begin working more closely with Matrix Private Wealth Solutions clients directly. Embracing her escape from snow and ice, and her love for the sun and beach, Shelley relocated from Chicago to Dana Point where she currently resides. With a passion for rescue animals, she frequently volunteers her time to work with veterinarians and shelters. Shelley's an avid gardener, with an exceptionally green thumb, and also enjoys hiking in both the desert and mountains.

Tracy La Chapelle

After attending Sonoma State University, Tracy began her career managing the education department for a financial firm in Santa Rosa, CA. After gaining significant experience, Tracy successfully moved on to join Prudential Financial and Insurance Services, eventually rising to become a financial advisor and private wealth manager. During her tenure with Prudential, Tracy took advantage of every training opportunity to develop extensive expertise in both insurance and investments, becoming one of the top advisors for Prudential in the area. Tracy enjoys spending time with her son while he is home from college, playing tennis, and taking long walks with her rescue dog, Hope.

Trevor Ramos

Trevor graduated from Boston University's School of Management with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. As a Certified College Planning Specialist since 2010, he has provided consulting and financial solutions to families paying for college. Trevor's professional licenses include Series 65, as well as Life, Health, Accident and Sickness insurance. Trevor is also Rotarian. His hobbies and interest include farming, wine-making, smooth music, and NBA basketball. If you plan to visit Belize, talk to Trevor. He's a native and it's his favorite destination.
