Neil H. Perdue, PhD, is senior executive advisor to the dean in the Office of the Executive Vice President for University Clinical Affairs and Dean of the School of Medicine. In this role, he serves as primary advisor to Dean Jay L. Hess, MD, PhD, MHSA, and as a member of the executive leadership team that is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic agenda for the school. Perdue represents the dean on a wide range of strategic, organizational and operational initiatives, including alignment with the health system, strategic communications and compliance and security matters. Bio Perdue joined IU School of Medicine in May 2023 after having served as executive vice president and chief strategy officer at the University of Indianapolis since 2021. He joined the UIndy president's office leadership team in 2017 when he assumed the role of chief of staff and director of strategic initiatives. He later expanded in that role to also serve as the university's first chief operating officer. Prior to his work as an executive leader on the president's team, Perdue served as a tenured member of the University of Indianapolis faculty as an associate professor of psychology. He joined the faculty in 2009 as an assistant professor. During his time as teaching faculty, he served as director of undergraduate programs, assistant dean of academic programs, and associate dean of the College of Applied Behavioral Sciences. Perdue is a 2002 graduate of Butler University, with a bachelor's degree in communication studies. He completed his graduate education at Indiana University-earning a master's degree in counseling and counselor education in 2004, an education specialist degree in mental health counseling in 2005, and a PhD in learning and developmental sciences in 2009.

  • Executive Associate Dean for Research Affairs
As Executive Associate Dean for Research Affairs, Foroud oversees IU School of Medicine's $450 million research enterprise. In this role, Foroud helps to guide the school's research efforts by strategically focusing on areas with maximum potential impact, investing in faculty expertise and infrastructure, launching interdisciplinary research centers and institutes, and forging relationships with industry and academic partners to translate research discoveries into new therapies, diagnostics and devices. She is also the chair of the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics, and the leader for the IU Precision Health Initiative.

Teresa Dunn

Teresa Dunn joined IU School of Medicine in November 2021 after serving as the Associate Director for the Integrated Program in the Environment at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Teresa is a graduate of Indiana University and received her master's degree from IU in 2017. She's a native Hoosier and lives in Brownsburg in an historic home with her fiancé, Mark, and their two dogs.

Tim Yates

Tim is a graduate of Herron School of Art and holds a bachelor degree in fine arts with a major in visual communication. After graduating, he began working for the Indianapolis Center for Advanced Research (ICFAR)-an affiliate of IU, Purdue, City of Indianapolis and the Indy Chamber of Commerce-where he served as as a graphic designer, photographer and illustrator for seven years. He then began his own freelance design business in Indianapolis and spent a decade working with a variety of clients, including Howard S. Wilcox, Sease Gerig & Associates, Ivy Tech, Riley Children's Foundation, Indianapolis Public Library and Fairbanks Hospital. Tim returned to IU as a graphic designer and photographer in the IU School of Medicine Office of Visual Media. In his current role, he works with faculty and departmental leaders to provide photography for communications and fundraising materials. He also served for three years as an adjunct professor teaching third- and- fourth-year medical students introduction to medical illustration, photography and Adobe Creative Suite.
