Alan Metzger is Head of Strategy - Abuse & Care at Pro Insurance Solutions Ltd. He has 35 years of UK general insurance experience across a broad range of claim types, running cases to Supreme Court level. Since 2002 he has specialised in the management of long and short tail disease claims, with a focus on child abuse and care matters in recent years. He represents clients on the ABI PL Claims Working Group and IRLA LCL.
Prior to joining Pro, Alan spent 30 years in a variety of claims roles within the Aviva Group. He has been involved in many market forums and issues, including drafting responses to consultations on regulatory or legislative change. He was heavily involved in EL policy tracing issues as a member of the ELTO Advisory Board.

Alexandra has a diverse professional background that spans marketing, law, and claims management. She studied Marketing and Spanish at university and gained valuable experience working in the PR department of an advertising agency during her university holidays. Alexandra then spent a year in Madrid, working as an English teacher before transitioning into law.
After completing law college, Alexandra joined Birchall Blackburn, where she focused on asbestos-related occupational disease claims from the Claimant side. She also worked closely with hospitals in Spain to obtain necessary medical records for ex-pat Claimants. Later, she moved to BAI Claims Services Ltd, where she handled a range of occupational diseases such as asbestos-related issues, noise-induced hearing loss, and hand-arm vibration syndrome.
In 2022, Alexandra joined Pro as part of the Complex Claims team, specialising in Aviva's book of business. Her responsibilities align with her colleague Lucy Eaborn, who handles RSA/Enstar's book of business. Throughout her career, Alexandra has also been actively involved in marketing and business growth efforts, including conference organisation, client engagement, and website content development. Her diverse skill set and experience make her a valuable asset in managing complex claims and driving company growth.

Andrew Smith is a highly experienced insurance professional with over 30 years of experience within the London Market. He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and currently holds the position of Executive Consultant, delegated Underwriting Audits at Pro. In his current role, Andrew undertakes Coverholder and TPA audits.
He has extensive knowledge in all aspects of a Coverholder's or MGA's operations, from underwriting to claims, accounts, governance, and controls. Andrew has been involved in over 100 binder reviews annually for over 20 Lloyd's clients, covering a wide range of classes including property, casualty, contractors all risks, bloodstock, and personal accident. He has also successfully concluded numerous commutation negotiations and has been involved in numerous consulting projects such as historical inspections of records

Bart has over 25 years' experience in the re/insurance industry, with particular focus on managing claims on a worldwide basis, as well as auditing, adjusting, management and reporting, across multiple lines of business.
Bart has carried out claims reviews and provided recommendations and strategy on a wide range of global accounts and lines of business. This has included negotiating commutations with counterparties, driving strategy, discounting parameters and achieving best possible results and final outcome on behalf of various leading re/insurer clients.
Bart also has extensive experience in managing clients' TPA relationships, setting control parameters and consolidating operations to risk manage and obtain cost benefit to the client. In addition, Bart is an expert at leading claims peer reviews for both Lloyd's and London Market companies

Ceri-Si n is a solicitor specialising in abuse and social care claims. Before joining Pro, Ceri-Si n worked in private practice and represented local authorities in respect of the many issues that arise following allegations, abuse or professional negligence by social workers and others. This included advising regarding police investigations, dealing with the media, and handling civil claims. Ceri-Si n acted for local authorities and their insurers in a range of circumstances including non-recent abuse claims - such as allegations of failure to remove claims, abuse by foster parents and allegations of physical and sexual abuse by local authority employees including social workers, teachers and others; and other claims - involving allegations of breach of human rights. Ceri-Si n has significant trial experience and experience in the appellate courts.

Eileen Lubold is a Senior Claim Auditor with over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily in the claims sector. She has expertise in personal and commercial lines, first and third party liability, property damage, physical damage, subrogation, file audit, inland marine and toxic tort.
Eileen has held positions as both a company adjuster and TPA handler, and has worked as a Claim Specialist and Supervisor with a focus on commercial trucking, inland marine, and toxic tort. She has designed and implemented the Arbitration Forums process and has trained adjusters on proper claim handling.
Eileen's recent assignments include working on a toxic tort portfolio in Baltimore, supporting a US insurance company on their claims audit program, and conducting Lloyd's Delegated Claims Administrator audits. She is proficient in all aspects of claim work for general liability, transportation, subrogation, commercial and personal lines and is detail oriented with an emphasis on training and compliance.

Emma is the Claims Manager for two of the Legacy Claims Teams at Pro, having joined the company in December 2020 as a team leader servicing Legacy Disease claims.
With 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, Emma brings a diverse skill set to her role. She successfully achieved a diploma in Management and a distinction in the management apprenticeship in September 2022, enhancing her ability to support teams and contribute to the business.
Emma's responsibilities include overseeing sensitive and Casualty claims, meeting KPIs, supporting projects, ensuring compliance, and providing mentorship and support to colleagues.
Garret joined Pro Global in March 2019. Since joining Pro, Garret has worked on the Enstar account, where he currently works as Client Lead.
He qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 and has worked in private practice, acting for both Claimants and Defendants. For the last 15 years, prior to joining Pro, he led teams of lawyers who acted on behalf of Claimant's in claims for occupational disease, including asbestos-related disease claims. In addition to working for Claimant's, Garret has also worked closely with the charity sector who support victims of asbestos related illnesses.

Guillaume Dutertre is a French-speaking auditor who has spent 6 years working for AIG prior to joining Pro in January 2022. He is currently involved in Delegated Authority audits in the UK and overseas, and also participates in Complaints-specific audits. As part of his role, Guillaume performs on-site interviews with key staff members, tests a sample of underwriting and claims files, determines the accuracy and timeliness of risk reporting and settlement, reviews operational policies and procedures, and assesses key compliance issues.
Additionally, Guillaume participates in Delegated Authority Audits under the Lloyd's Audit scope, runs audit interviews, documents and shares findings with management, and assesses Complaints Handling. Before his current role, Guillaume worked as a Claims Handler for A&H and Warranty business, and later as a Complaints Handler in the Compliance Team, where he was responsible for RCA and reports for EMEA and Quality Assurance.

Iain joined Pro Global in 2016 and has over 25 years of UK general insurance claims experience. Prior to joining Pro, Iain had been working and leading in the EL/PL Legacy Disease Insurance sector. Skilled in Dispute Resolution, Commercial Insurance, People Management, Employers and Public Liability, and General Insurance. Trusted relationship manager, flexible, adaptable to change and proven performance delivery on a consistent basis.

Katherine Gordon is a Senior auditor with over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily in claims. She joined Pro in January 2022 and has experience working at Northshore performing Coverholder and TPA File Audits.
Katherine has a background in investigating and resolving Auto, Property, Liability, and Bodily Injury claims and has worked as a claim specialist for major insurance companies like Agero Inc, Dane Street, and One Beacon.
Her expertise includes handling claims of various exposure levels, negotiations, critical thinking, report writing, and technology. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has excellent communication skills with knowledge of Lloyd's Delegated Audit scope.

Ken Hutchinson is a Senior Auditor with 45 years of experience in the Insurance/Reinsurance industry. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting.
Ken has worked for a European reinsurance company as Vice President of Accounting for 13 years, and then worked for a Florida-based reinsurance consulting services firm for 25 years as Senior Vice President-Audits and Treasurer. In these roles, he was responsible for financial and statutory accounting functions, directing the company's commutation and runoff strategy, supervising a 15-person audit department, and working with outside counsel in litigation support cases.
Ken has experience in Lloyd's Coverholder audits, US MGA Operational and Transactional Audits, and has leveraged audit findings to mitigate client exposure. He has also worked for various State Liquidation Bureaus, performed backfill accounting roles with insurance companies, and presented reinsurance seminars to state insurance departments.

Kevin heads up our Complex Claims Team, focusing on high value and complex asbestos-related disease claims. He has over ten years' experience in the legacy claims market. Prior to this he was a fully qualified Thermal Insulation Engineer.
He began his insurance career with Aviva as a claims handler, prior to becoming a case manager and was part of the team who transferred across to Pro Global in November 2016 following the successful reinsurance agreement with Swiss Re. His SME knowledge was utilised in order to successfully migrate policies and claims from nine separate systems into one policy claims system to expedite the claims process.
Kevin has a wealth of knowledge and experience in EL/PL claims handling, from NIHL and VWF to all asbestos related disease types including mesothelioma as well as live market claims experience such as CQC and PACE investigations. He has worked on numerous internal projects as well as been integral in discussions with existing and new clients.

Lucy worked for the Zurich occupational disease team for 24 years before joining the Pro Enstar team in July 2022, She has a wealth of experience handling high-value claims, including Mesothelioma claims, and has also mentored and supervised colleagues throughout her career.

Michael joined Pro Global in January 2021. Since joining Pro, he has led our Specialist Claims team which provides claims management services to our live market clients and legacy carriers of UK EL/PL liabilities. He was initially tasked with undertaking a review of the business to determine the optimum target operating model, leading to delivery of a programme of transformation including people, structure, processes, technology solutions, quality assurance, quality control, MI capability and a review of supplier arrangements, to ensure that Pro Global drives the best outcomes for our clients through a value-added proposition.
Michael has previously worked for solicitors, brokers, TPAs and insurers (live and run-off) handling claims and managing teams. Michael began to specialise in EL/PL occupational disease and illness claims in the live market in 2005. In 2010, he moved into the run-off market where he continued to manage disease and illness claims with a particular focus on construction risks and latterly the public sector (including a range of sensitive claims). He has significant involvement in handling test case litigation in HAVs, Asbestos-Related and sensitive claims, including group actions and policy trigger litigation. He has also been involved in work on a range of Inquiries e.g., the Hillsborough disaster and IICSA.
Michael has extensive experience of operational transformation, claims tech and influencing the market through responses to consultations and involvement in various market forums. He currently chairs IRLA's Legacy Committee.

With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Pervin specialises in the technical aspects of long-tail claims, particularly asbestos, health hazard, and pollution claims. She has also conducted due diligence and process reviews, reserve valuations, and provided litigation support.
Pervin has worked on various projects, including M&A reviews, claims file reviews, and reserving financials for major asbestos accounts in the London market. Additionally, she has sector experience in SLA management, claims consulting, and marketing and communications strategy.

Steve has more than 35 years' experience in the handling of all types of injury claims and since 2003, he has specialised in the administration of claims emanating from historic U.K liability books, the extraction of value from them, and protecting against/ mitigating against future risk.
He joined Pro in 2020 and prior to that, worked for RSA Group and Enstar. Steve has represented clients at industry forums over a long period and was the inaugural insurance industry representative on the Oversight Committee for the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme. In addition, he acted for clients and trade organisations in successfully negotiating agreements, setting case precedents, and amending legislation to produce positive outcomes for clients with U.K liability portfolios.

Tim joined Pro Global in September 2020 and is the Claims Manager of Complex Claims, a team who manage a portfolio of asbestos related losses and other respiratory conditions.
He has over 30 years of UK general insurance claims experience, managing a variety of losses including Employers Liability, Public Liability and Motor liability, with a focus on personal injury.
Tim has managed teams for over 25 years, dealing with large portfolios of claims for clients with various financial arrangements (fully insured, self-insured, large deductibles). He has retained technical claims handling roles, in addition to team/people management and management of relationships with customers, brokers and suppliers.
Tim is ACII qualified and holds Chartered Insurer status.
