Dr. Greg Wall went to the University of Missouri - St. Louis and received a B.A. degree in Biology and Chemistry in 1974. In 1976, he received his Missouri Teaching Certificate to teach High School Biology, Chemistry, and General Science. Upon graduating, Greg moved to El Dorado, Arkansas, and taught advanced chemistry at El Dorado High School. In 1977, he returned to St. Louis and taught General Science and Developmental Biology at Holman Junior High School; then Chemistry at Pattonville Senior High School, Pattonville School District, from 1978-1980. Returning to the University of Missouri - St. Louis, he received a M.S.in chemistry in 1981. From 1981-1985, Greg continued his graduate studies in chemistry at the State University of New York - Albany. During that time, he was a Science Educator in their Equal Opportunities Program. In 1985, he received a Ph. D. under the direction of Professor Eric Block. His thesis describes the isolation and characterization of the onion lacrymatory factor and the transformation of its Diels-Alder adduct into methylenomycin antibiotic analogs. Returning to St. Louis, Greg joined Sigma-Aldrich as a Research Technical Service Consultant and retired from there in 2007. He is an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at St. Louis Community College (2005 -), University of Missouri - St. Louis (2006 -), and Maryville University (2009 -). Greg worked briefly as an analytical for Monsanto in 2008 and a Director of Technical Affairs for Cyanta in 2008-2009. He founded BioChemSultants, LLC in 2007. Greg joined the St. Louis Public Schools in 2009 as a High School Science Teacher. At McKinley CLA, he has taught Anatomy & Physiology, AVID, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science.
