Mark Mortensen is the owner/principal consultant of Global Works Consulting. He is an Associate Professor and the chair of the Organisational Behaviour area at INSEAD, ​Mark's research focuses on the changing nature of collaboration, with a particular emphasis on global/virtual work and dynamic teams. He consults widely and publishes in a range of academic, professional, and popular press outlets. His contributions have been recognized through academic awards as well as leadership and editorial board positions. At INSEAD, Mark teaches in ​custom and open-enrollment executive programs, the MBA core, and the doctoral program on topics such as team dynamics, global work, power and networks, organizational structure, and organizational change Prior to joining INSEAD, Professor Mortensen was on the faculty at the MIT-Sloan School of Management and McGill University School of Management. He holds both a PhD and M.S. from Stanford University, as well as a B.A. from Colby College.
