The company specialises in secondary food processing, and is one of the largest independent value added seafood manufacturers in the UK. We supply a range of products to major retailers across the UK, manufacturing for the retailers' own label brands. In addition, the company also has product ranges through its own ‘Swankies' and ‘Get Hooked' brands. Core product lines include coated fillets, traditional fishcakes and melting centre fishcakes... Joseph Robertson founded the company in 1878 in Aberdeen, entering the fish trade as a fish merchant and primary processor, supplying fish from the Aberdeen Market to local establishments in the North East of Scotland. Up until 1991 the business continued to operate as a primary fish processor sending fish throughout the UK and also parts of Europe... Now boasting 4th generation family ownership, we are the oldest family-owned fish processing firm in the UK.
