LBE HAWAII - Key Persons
Aloha! Iʻm Kevin, born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. I have completed a degree in Second Language Studies with a focus in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. I have been supporting and working with the LbE ʻOhana since the summer of 2008, eventually becoming a co-owner of LbE Hawaii 8 years later. I oversee operations of LbE Hawaii and am responsible for the quality assurance of LbE Hawaiiʻs educational programs.
A pioneer in introducing the concept of Global Education in Japan. Aside for overseeing LbE Hawaii, Mr. Kita leads an organization in Japan - LbE Japan, catering educational services to over 20,000 people annually. Realizing the educational potential in Hawaiʻi, Mr. Kita expanded educational opportunities to the islands. Mr. Kita continues to help lead the team from a startup business to a prosperous global education icon.
Aloha! Iʻm Yuko, born and raised in Okayama, Japan. After finishing my Bachelorʻs degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Waseda University in Japan, I became a teacher for 10 years at a middle and high school. I moved to Hawaiʻi in 2017 to pursue my Masters degree in Global Leadership and Sustainable Development from Hawaiʻi Pacific University. During my education in Hawaiʻi, I volunteered with LbE Hawaii as a Bilingual Supporter. Upon my graduation from HPU in 2020, I became the Director of Education, where I assist the company with language support, curriculum development, marketing/promotion, and training.
