In 2018, Crossnore opened a one-person office in Hendersonville, North Carolina to respond to the growing need for child welfare and behavioral health services in the area's rural mountain counties. In that same year, building upon our trauma-focused model of care, Crossnore created the Center for Trauma Resilient Communities (CTRC) to help organizations embed and embody the science of trauma resilience and to cultivate healing ecosystems... With more than 100 years of history and expertise, Crossnore Communities for Children provides holistic care to children and families who have experienced trauma. Through an innovative continuum of services, Crossnore ensures the well-being of children and families, walking alongside them to build resilient ecosystem of support so they can thrive in safe and loving homes, trauma-responsive schools, and resilient communities... Crossnore Communities for Children is a non-profit child welfare agency serving children across North Carolina.
