GO SHELVES - Key Persons

Robert Marks

Robert Marks has been working in the furniture business his whole life. Before making record shelving and accessories for GoShelves, Robert opened Pastense, one of the first ‘mid century modern' furniture stores to exist in San Francisco. It began in the Mission and was in fact one of the first hip shops to venture there. Hard to imagine now. Pastense was included in Diane Dorian Saeks ‘Mid Century Modern' book, the first guide to the genre, and was a destination for international collectors. Along with the record shelves, Robert creates bookends and wall hooks of the highest quality and smart, clean design that are strong and sturdy. The record shelves can hold 260 up to 1,925 for the larger unit. See all the shelves at go-shelves.com. Robert's studio is in a barn in Petaluma, California.
