As a result, its public school districts are increasingly turning to private foundations for supplementary funding to ensure they can provide the education today's children need to succeed in tomorrow's workplace... The Portola Valley Schools Foundation is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides private financial support to the Portola Valley School District. Our purpose is to close the gap between what public education funding pays for and the high-quality education we desire for our children...
