Sirius community was founded in September 1978 by former members of Findhorn Community in Scotland wishing to establish a similar community in their American homeland. Its foundation is ‘spiritual', though non-religious, in that we support and encourage each member and guest to find their own way to the heart and wholeness. We share reverence for Life in all forms and stages, and strive to live harmoniously using ecologically sustainable methods of food production, energy generation, and building methods... Sirius Community is a non-profit educational center and spiritual community that aims to live by principles of spiritual attunement, community, and sustainable living.
