David Loft is the Principal of Steward Funding and has had an extensive career working in finance for some of Australia's leading institutions for the past 30 years. Steward Funding was established in 2014 by David, with his vision centring around building quality relationships with clients, industry groups and his broader network, offering a deep understanding of funding across many professional service industries. It is David's ambition to provide a commercial finance brokerage that offers a quality experience and a positive outcome for each client of Steward Funding.
David started his career on the front line of banking which has helped him and his customers design solutions through a comprehensive understanding of the Australian banking system. In his early career, he stepped away from banking for a short time to work in the accounting and financial planning industry to broaden his understanding of financial services. This again has supported David's knowledge base which has been beneficial to his clients, particularly self-employed clients.
David completed his MBA through Central Queensland University in 2010 and also holds a Diploma in Financial Planning as well as a Diploma of Mortgage Broking.
David's client base is varied and he has achieved quality funding solutions for hundreds of customers since he started the business. He has a speciality in goodwill and balance sheet lending, which has seen many small businesses engage his services when unique funding arrangements are required. He is a preferred broker to many professional service firms who have benefited from David's understanding of leveraging these businesses, and he has benefited from the referrals from these professionals to Steward Funding for their clients. David has prided himself on the delivery of quality service to his customers. His business stands on the four pillars: relationship, technology, professionalism and knowledge.
David is a family man and when he is not creating funding solutions for his clients, he enjoys time with his wife and three children, and the many activities the family participate in.
