Christian Weiss - Founder

Christian-Cornelius Weiß was one of the founding partners of Sunfish Partners. He is with the fund part-time. He is also the CEO of Data4Life, a German-Singaporean non-profit health-tech organization that is funded by the Hasso Plattner Foundation. Christian has been acting as an active business angel in more than 35 startups such as Chronext, KnowUnity, Mika, and Qunomedical. Previously, Christian co-founded the Berlin-based operational VC Project A Ventures. Prior to that, he was a Founding Managing Director of Rocket Internet. Christian holds a Diploma in Business & Management. He studied at WHU Vallendar, Manchester BusinessSchool, and ESC Nantes-Atlantique. He is a guest lecturer at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam.

Dr. Marcus Erken - CEO, Founder

Dr. Marcus Erken was one of the founding partners of Sunfish Partners. He is with the fund full-time and serves as one of its managing directors. Marcus has been in love with early stage startups for many years: he has made angel investments throughout the world, including Ramp Network, Locad, Minutia, and Reebelo. He also co-lectures an annual university course in which students start their own companies. Previously, Marcus had the privilege to work with more than 120 student startups at WHU's university incubator, which he helped establish and run. Marcus holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Business & Management from WHU Vallendar, a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from RWTH Aachen University, and was a Visiting Research Fellow at Harvard University.

Max Moldenhauer - CEO, Founder

Max Moldenhauer was one of the founding partners of Sunfish Partners. He is with the fund full-time and serves as one of its managing directors. Max has a long-standing history as an entrepreneur and has co-founded seven companies since 2001. He has also been an active investor and business angel for the last 15 years with investments in companies such as Wooga, test.io, Ramp Network, Minutia, and Locad, including several successful exits. Prior to Sunfish Partners, Max was investing in and building companies as Head of Mobile at Project A Ventures, leading amongst others the investment in uberall. Max holds a Diploma in Business & Management. He studied at WHU Vallendar, ESC Nantes-Atlantique, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
