4STARTEES

Avid cyclist, freestyle dancer, & dj/musician Don Solo started 4StarTees (4ST) in 2008, after years of designing t-shirts to sell out of his college dorm, & then on the streets of Chicago. T-shirts had always been a means of passionate expression, human connection, & community-building for Don, even amongst complete strangers. 4ST's intention was to celebrate all the great things about Chicago (hence the reference to its flag), but from the perspective of a local, rather than the tourist. But, after 10+ years working in the service-hospitality industry, Don felt it was time to move to the warmer climes of Tampa Bay, Florida in 2019, to pursue his interests in fitness & dance year-round. It is here, while surf-skating, virtual-clubbing, & discussing geometric art in lockdown with his housemates, that the Flow State idea & design were born.
