ALE BROWN

Ale started her career as an IT professional working for large corporations such as Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson. She also ventured into the entrepreneurial world working for boutique consulting firms when she moved to Vancouver. Her specialties at the time were the implementation and management of ERP systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies. During her last corporate job with J&J, she partnered with various commercial groups in the organization, providing IT solutions in the area of Sales Force Effectiveness and Digital Marketing. This is when she was thoroughly exposed to the world of Privacy management. She founded Kirke Management Consulting in 2014, with the goal to help organizations implement robust data governance and privacy programs where the safeguarding of personal data becomes critical. In a rapidly expanding digital world where technology advances happen at a high speed, data has become business most valuable asset and the protection and optimal management of this asset must be a priority.

Delynn O'Sullivan

Sherry started her career in finance but found the fast-changing technology fascinating. Afterwards, she has been Sales Manager and Account Executive in the technology industry for international markets. She once led a team in a tech startup to fundraise and develop pioneer clients for blockchain data solutions. She also supported clients like Microsoft, Salesforce, Hitachi to build market strategies. As a Regional Director at Info-Tech, she empowers CIOs and IT professionals across industries to establish IT strategy, accelerate processes, and systematically improve IT. She enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, and connecting with amazing women in the industry! Delynn is a graduate of BCIT's Marketing Management program, with a primary focus in Professional Sales. Delynn has built her career in sales over the last two decades, focusing on account management and business development in the technology sector. She was employee number two at a startup called Peer 1, which resulted in a 21-year tenure. Her specialty is building long term client relationships and deeply understanding the needs of her customers. Recently she joined Carbon60, a design, migration and managed cloud services business, as a Senior Account Manager. Delynn has always been a champion for her customers and her main goal is to help the clients solve their business challenges. When not talking all things Cloud, she enjoys golfing, skiing, travelling, and enjoying time with friends and family.

Giovanna Payne

Judy Sin

Giovanna's expertise is in financial planning and analysis, ERP implementation, and executing strategic plans. She loves to add value to an organization by providing real time information and insightful analysis through the use of technology. She has worked in space technology, financial services, and most recently in SaaS at Hootsuite where she has led the transformation of planning and analysis through a system implementation. Giovanna believes that mentorship and networking are key to success reason why she is very excited to be part of VanWIT. She loves outdoor sports and is enthusiastic about skiing and exploring all the mountains in our backyard. Judy's expertise is in cyber security risk management and analysis. She is an accomplished innovation and transformation professional who works with organizations in assisting them with preparation and post-incident projects. Judy has worked with a variety of organizations across multiple industries in assessing its protective and detective capabilities, previously at Deloitte and now at MNP to recommend areas of improvement to enhance the client's cyber security posture. Throughout her career, she has always taken a leadrole in the Women in Cyber committees at the respective organization's she's worked at. Judy believes that mentorship is key to success and is excited to be part of VanWIT. She loves hiking, traveling and trying new foods!

Narissa Vohora

Narissa has over 10+ years of experience in technology project and strategy implementation. She is passionate about driving value and aligning technology with real business objectives. Narissa started her career in HR but quickly moved into IT after working on a large-scale HRIS implementation project. She has since held various project management and business analysis roles, and has experience in leading large-scale project implementations, managing portfolios and roadmaps, as well as building strategies and frameworks that support corporate strategy. Joining the Vancouver Women in Technology board in 2020, Narissa is passionate about connecting with and supporting women in the technology industry. She enjoys travel, cooking, and learning about the great wine regions of the world.

Susan Romeo-Gilbert

Over 35 years of experience in the IT Industry, including a variety of industrial sectors including Telecommunications, Utilities, Oil and Gas, Finance, Banking and Education having worked in Canada, USA, UK and the Caribbean. For my Education sector experience, I am currently a Coordinator and an Instructor at Capilano University, Faculty of Business and Professional Studies, School of Business, Business Information Management and Analytics (BIMA) Centre of Imagination. Susan started in this sector in 1990, where she spent 2 years at the University of the West Indies- Continuing Education, lecturing in `Introduction to Computer Science` and 3.5 years working full time at University College London, England, from 1992-1995. Susan re-entered the Higher Education Sector in Summer and Fall of 2011, as a visiting Lecturer at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC, Canada. Here she taught undergraduate 400 Level Courses: `Selected Topics in Business Administration- Developing a Business Intelligence Framework` and `Managing Information Technology for Business Value`. She also taught "Introduction To Business Technology Management" at Fraser International College, SFU, for 4 years, from 2013 to 2016. Previous to being full time in the Education sector, Susan was a Principal Platform Strategist with Microsoft Canada, remit being to garner in-depth business knowledge and determine core business issues as they could be mapped to and reinforce the value of, the Microsoft Technology to the Customer`s overall business strategic direction.
