Prior to co-founding Hamer Way, he honed his skills in London and Birmingham, contributing to various sectors, including award-winning high-end residential and civic buildings. Rhys also served as a master planner for a prominent UK house builder, strategically planning sites with up to 500 houses. This invaluable experience continues to shape his project work at Hamer Way. With an intricate understanding of planning policy in the greenbelt and a deep enthusiasm for development, Rhys leads at Hamer Way as the Managing Director, significantly growing the business over the past 5 years.

Sophie, an architect and founding director of Hamer Way, originally contributed the 'Hamer' to its name. She earned her architecture degree at Manchester School of Architecture and qualified as an architect in 2010. After working in Manchester and Birmingham with prestigious firms like Hawkins Brown, Glenn Howells Architects, and Associated Architects, Sophie returned to the North West to continue her dynamic career. A designer at heart, she possesses a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for unveiling the unexpected, making outstanding design accessible to clients of all scales. Sophie is driven by creating buildings and spaces that seamlessly blend functionality and joy, focusing on the human experience and a sense of place. Her rich career spans residential, education, commercial, conservation, and refurbishment projects across the UK.
