Tsitsi is responsible for the running of the company on a day to day basis. This includes the welfare of our service users and staff, making sure the working relationship runs smoothly and in accordance to Care Quality Commission standards. As a Registered Manager, she provides the link between Social Services, Care Quality Commission, Birmingham City Council etc, and Sisters Care Services. After completing nurse training at the University of Central England (UCE) Tsitsi worked at Moseley Hall Hospital on the In-Patient Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit for 6 years, gaining experience in assisting individuals with disability due to neurological conditions, attaining and maintaining maximum function, and also assisting these clients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for the client and their family's development. She was appointed a Link Nurse for continence before enrolling again at the University of Central England (UCE), where she attained a degree in Dimensions in Health Care, specialising in Bladder and Bowel Management. She then moved to Hunters Moor Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre, Hall Green, Birmingham where she started at E grade and was promoted to a Deputy Unit Manager (Band 6) after demonstrating that she possessed the specialized knowledge, clinical skills and the passion necessary to provide care for people with physical disability caused by neurological conditions such as Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke (CVA), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Spinal Injury, and those in persistent vegetative or minimal conscious states. She worked in this capacity from 2011 to 2013. During this period she also had an opportunity to work as an Acting Unit Manager (Band 7) for 7 months. As Acting Unit Manager, her role was mainly to coordinate nursing care activities in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, to facilitate achievement of overall goals, and coordinate a holistic approach to meeting the client's medical, vocational, educational, and environmental needs. Tsitsi managed to display a high-quality standard of nursing care, displaying high level of clinical skills and judgement as she was providing assessment and rehabilitation to patients with a variety of neurological conditions. This was a very challenging and very interesting role and gave Tsitsi the confidence which later lead her to free herself and work independently. After leaving Hunters Moor, Tsitsi became the visionary of Sisters Care Services Limited, inviting her 2 young sisters to join forces and establish a domiciliary care company to look after both senior citizens and those in need of care.
