Dr Thanuja Galhena

Biography Dr Thanuja Galhena graduated with a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, followed by a PhD at University of Cambridge. She is based at the Cambridge Graphene Centre at the University of Cambridge as an industrial visitor, and is also a bye-fellow and a tutor at Newnham College, Cambridge. Dr Galhena was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Cambridge Graphene Centre and a Teaching Fellow in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Graphene Technology at the University of Cambridge, before joining CGL.

Dr. Stephen Hodge - CTO

Biography Dr. Stephen Hodge, Head of Research for Versarien, holds a MChem in Chemistry from the University of Bath and PhD in Nanomaterials Chemistry from Imperial College London. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Cambridge Graphene Centre at the University of Cambridge, Teaching Fellow in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Graphene Technology and a bye-fellow at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge. As Versarien's Head of Research, he is primarily responsible for overseeing all the company's graphene and other 2d materials research and development activities, including the company's participation in the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) at The University of Manchester. He is based as an industrial visitor at the Cambridge Graphene Centre (CGC), to foster the training of students in Graphene Technology and develop joint projects. Stephen is also a member of the International Advisory Board for the Graphene NOWNANO CDT at The University of Manchester.

Neill Ricketts - CEO

Neill is a graduate engineer with over 20 years of senior level experience in manufacturing and engineering companies. He has demonstrated success in introducing and commercialising new technology, including new materials and coatings for diverse sectors from aerospace to Formula One, including significant work in the oil and gas sector.
