Clay Miller

Clay Miller, founding principal of Bergen Street Studio, was born in Mountain View, California and raised in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art History from Duke University and a Masters of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture. He worked in the offices of Paul Rudolph, Alex Gorlin and Maya Lin and was a Senior Associate at the Polshek Partnership. He started his own Brooklyn-based practice in 1998 and has taught architectural design and theory at Parsons, Pratt and Yale. He lives with his family in Brooklyn.

Jack Phillips

Jack Phillips, a principal in Bergen Street Studio, was born and raised in Texas. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Architecture from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Prior to joining, he worked in the offices of CRSS (under Paul Kennon) and as an Associate Partner at the Polshek Partnership. He has lectured and lead design studios at several institutions such as Pratt Institute, New Jersey Institute of Technology and The University of Nebraska, among others. He lives with his family in Manhattan.
