The Demography Certificate consists of five courses for a total of 15 semester hours. Demography is fundamental to principles taught in numerous degree programs at The University of Utah including economics, geography, sociology, anthropology, epidemiology, business, biology, family and consumer studies, public health, public policy, urban planning, and history... Students in traditional degree programs are generally exposed to only selected aspects of demography, and often not in a systematic fashion. The Demography Certificate Program provides students with a coherent curriculum and training that is fundamental to their primary field of study... The University of Utah Demography Certificate Program is currently being transferred from FCS to Sociology. Information will be updated as available.
