Laszlo Szojka has over 27 years of investment experience in the financial services industry. He first started investing while still in high school in 1986 and was intrigued by the 1987 market correction. Though the markets and investing were of interest, he studied science and engineering at the University of Alberta. During his years at university, he travelled to Europe shortly after the Iron Curtain fell and witnessed the rebirth of capitalism first hand. Due to the extremely weak job market for young professionals in Canada in the early 1990's from the ongoing recession, he decided to completely change his career focus and go into the investment industry in 1992. Laszlo has a certificate in financial planning and has completed industry courses in investment funds, a branch managers' course, and an officers' and directors' course. He is also licensed for life insurance and accident and sickness insurance. Laszlo built his business one family at a time and joined D. W. Good Investment Company Ltd. in 1996. Presently, Laszlo employs two full-time staff to assist in a diverse financial practice of assisting individuals, families, high net-worth clients, group clients and businesses. Laszlo is married and has three children. He is involved with the community through the St. Albert Rotary Club.
