GREEN VALUE

Green Value is a family owned social enterprise based in Lynwood, WA. We bring certified Fair trade, handmade, recycled paper products to the US from our parent co-operative, Get Paper Industry, in Nepal... In 1982, Get Paper was founded by 4 brothers with just 7 employees hoping to create, preserve and promote the traditional art of handmade paper making of Nepal in the beautiful valley of Kathmandu. In 30 years, we grew, became a co-operative, and when operated at full capacity, we employee as many as 500 staff members, of which 90% are marginalized women of Nepal... Our paper products are made through the art of traditional handmade paper making of Nepal. We use perennial grass lokta, which is grown in high mountainous region of Nepal. However, with time we added further waste materials in the handmade production such as agriculture waste, cotton rags, waste paper, and recycled paper. Currently these recycled materials have become the major source of our paper products.
