H. Kerr Construction Limited was founded by Harold Kerr in 1946. Mr. Kerr lived and operated the company from his hometown of Wingham, Ontario. Mr. Kerr started his business by purchasing a D7 Cat bulldozer and operating it himself. His primary source of work was moving earth on new road building projects, as well as working for local farmers. A year later he purchased a second Cat D7 and hired his first employee.
