Dr. Steven R. Frimtz is is a Southern California native who was raised in Palos Verdes, just south of Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, San Diego, in 1983. He then continued and received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 1987.
Dr. Frimtzis practiced in San Diego until 1994, when he moved to the Coachella Valley and started his private practice in Indian Wells.
He was the first CEREC 3 provider in the valley (since 2002), which is the latest technology used in restorative treatments, done in the same day. With this CEREC technology, Dr. Frimtzis is able to complete inlays, onlays, and all ceramic crowns in one visit, without the need for temporaries or messy impressions. Dr. Frimtzis also provides laser dentistry options for periodontal treatments, using the Biolase waterlase iPlus hard and soft tissue laser. The Waterlase dental laser enables Dr. Frimtzis to complete many fillings without the use of the dental handpiece or injections for anesthetic.
He is a husband and proud father of three who enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf and riding his motorcycles.
