Dr. Adrian Lee

Since establishing his cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery practice in the Lower Mainland, Dr. Adrian Lee, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, has served as part of the medical staff at Surrey Memorial, Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgical Centre, Royal Columbian, Eagle Ridge, and Peace Arch Hospitals. He is a clinical instructor with the Department of Plastic Surgery at UBC and is the Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgical Centre (JPOCSC). Dr. Lee performs breast reconstruction surgery with the SMH/JPOCSC Breast Reconstruction Program - one of the largest breast centres in Western Canada. Dr. Lee also has a busy cosmetic surgery practice performing breast enhancement, facial rejuvenation, tummy tucks, and body contouring surgery at various private clinics, including Valley Surgical Centre. As an undergraduate at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Lee was torn between a career in architecture and one in medicine. Architecture appealed to his creativity and love of design, medicine to his passion for biology and desire to help and heal. With plastic surgery, Dr. Lee found the perfect outlet for both his passions. After his undergraduate studies at UBC, he went on to receive his Medical Degree from the UBC School of Medicine, where he graduated in 1995. Moving to Ontario, Dr. Lee completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario and obtained extensive training in hand surgery with the nationally renowned Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC). Dr. Lee returned to Vancouver to complete a combined fellowship in breast and cosmetic surgery. There he expanded his expertise at the UBC Breast Reconstruction Program, working with Dr. Peter Lennox and the late Dr. Patricia Clugston. Married with three growing daughters, Dr. Lee and his family are avid downhill and cross country skiers and he is a passionate cyclist and triathlete during the non-winter months. Dr. Lee is board-certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Lee is a member of the CSPS, a professional organization dedicated to providing continuing education and knowledge in the field of Plastic Surgery, with the goal of having a successful outcome and a satisfied patients. Dr. Lee is a member of the CPSBC. The CPSBC's primary goal continues to be "the protection and safety of the patients, and the quality of care they receive from licensed physicians in BC." Dr. Lee is a member of the CMA, an organization that serves to be Canada's national advocate for the highest standards of health and health care. Dr. Lee is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the division of plastic surgery at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Lee is a member of Health for Humanity and has been fortunate to be a part of the surgical team to Guatemala since 2009. In Guatemala, he donates his time performing plastic and reconstructive surgeries such as cleft lip and palate repairs, congenital hand deformity reconstruction, and burn reconstructive surgery. He is looking forward to participating in many more volunteer missions in the future.

Dr. Amera Murabit

Dr. Murabit is a member of the CPSBC. The CPSBC's primary goal continues to be "the protection and safety of the patients, and the quality of care they receive from licensed physicians in BC." Dr. Murabit is a member of the CSPS, a professional organization dedicated to providing continuing education and knowledge in the field of Plastic Surgery, with the goal of having a successful outcome and a satisfied patients. Dr. Murabit is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Imran Ratanshi

Dr. Imran Ratanshi, MD, MSc, FRCS(C) is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon and the latest addition to the Plastic Surgery Group at City Centre. He is a Lead Reconstructive Craniofacial Surgeon and Microsurgeon for the Fraser Health Authority. He is on active staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, Jim Pattison Outpatient Centre, Peace Arch Hospital, and Eagle Ridge Hospital. Dr. Ratanshi performs cosmetic surgery at Valley Medical Centre. A native of Richmond, BC, Dr. Ratanshi completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University (Kingston, ON) and the University of Calgary (Calgary, AB), respectively. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Calgary and completed his surgical specialty residency training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. As one of few Canadian Plastic Surgeons with dual-subspecialty training in both Microsurgery and Craniofacial Surgery, Dr. Ratanshi brings extensive experience to address a diversity of reconstructive and cosmetic concerns. He completed his first Fellowship in Cancer Reconstruction and Microvascular Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York, USA), the top-ranked center for cancer treatment and reconstruction in the United States. The following year, Dr. Ratanshi was the first Canadian-trained Plastic Surgeon to be accepted into Harvard University's Plastic Surgery training program as the Fellow in Adult Craniofacial Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, USA). This intensive, one-year experience at the top hospital in the United States provided a unique exposure to more sophisticated strategies for facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. This was under the direction of world-renowned Craniofacial Surgeon, Dr. Michael J. Yaremchuk [Fellowship Director] and the Harvard Plastic Surgery Faculty. During this time, Dr. Ratanshi served as a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Ratanshi developed a particular passion for facial reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. While Chief Resident, a focus in complex nasal reconstruction led him to study with the world's foremost nose surgeon, Dr. Frederick Menick [Tuscon, Arizona]. Dr. Ratanshi also developed a strong interest in more advanced techniques used in reconstructive microsurgery. Having traveled extensively to work with world leaders in micro and super-microsurgery in the United States[Dr. Peter Neligan, University of Washington], South Korea [Dr. Joon-Piu Hong, Asan Medical Center, Seoul], and Japan [Dr. Isao Koshima, University of Hiroshima], Dr. Ratanshi brings global exposure to his practice. He has published book chapters in multiple reconstructive and cosmetic surgery textbooks, and his clinical research has been recognized with numerous awards. He was honored to be recognized as a ‘Clinical Teacher of the Year' by the Manitoba Medical Students' Association and, in 2017, was the recipient of the prestigious Microsurgery Scholarship awarded by the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Ratanshi and his staff are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. He remains an active educator as a Clinical Instructor in Surgery within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Jennifer Prince

Dr. Jennifer Prince is an accomplished board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive training in reconstructive cancer surgery, breast surgery, hand and peripheral nerve surgery, and cosmetic surgery. In her reconstructive practice she is known for her expertise in breast and skin cancer surgery, and complex microsurgical procedures. She performs cosmetic surgical procedures at Valley Surgery Centre and is a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia within the division of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Prince completed her Bachelor of Science, Medical Doctor degree, and Plastic Surgery residency training at the University of British Columbia. Following her Plastic Surgery certification as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Prince moved to San Francisco, where she received further subspecialty training, and completed a one-year fellowship at the prestigious, world-renowned Buncke Clinic. During her fellowship, Dr. Prince had the opportunity to enrich her skills in performing highly complex reconstructive procedures such as digit replantation and microsurgical free tissue transplantation. Since completing her training in 2008, she has worked in Fraser Health, and enjoys an accomplished practice of trauma, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. She was instrumental in starting the microsurgery program in Fraser Health Authority, which has allowed patients with severe traumatic and cancer defects to obtain a higher level of care closer to home. Her training and experience have allowed her to develop expertise in both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgical procedures. She feels privileged to use her skillset to contribute to her community and feels humbled to be a part of her patients' lives. Born and raised in northern British Columbia, Dr. Prince grew up on a farm in a small town, where she spent a lot of her time outdoors, at the rink skating, or on a horse. She is married with two children and enjoys a very active outdoor lifestyle with her family. She loves to run, read, travel and spend time with her family and close friends. Dr. Prince is board-certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery. As an undergraduate student, she lived for an extended period in Nara, Japan, where she was recruited to do basic science asthma research for Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals. As a medical student, she spent a summer doing pediatric clinical research in Lima, Peru, and small villages in the Andes. She also spent time as a medical student in hospitals both in Brazil and Honduras. She has volunteered in India with Operation Rainbow Canada, a non-profit organization that sends surgical teams from Canada to provide care for children with cleft lip and palate deformities.

Dr. Paul Oxley

Dr. Paul Oxley is a board-certified plastic surgeon. His plastic surgery practice focuses on reconstruction (both trauma and cancer-related), breast surgery, and hand surgery. He works at both Surrey Memorial Hospital and the Royal Columbian Hospital performing all types of plastic surgery. He performs cosmetic surgery at two private clinics in Surrey and Vancouver. Since 2006, Dr. Oxley has held an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UBC. He has also trained residents from the Universities of Calgary and Western Ontario. Raised in BC, Dr. Oxley moved to the Lower Mainland in 1990. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and went on to graduate in the top 10% of his class from the UBC School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at Vancouver General, UBC, St. Paul's, and BC Children's Hospital and trained internationally in London and Paris prior to starting his practice in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. An avid skier, scuba diver, runner, cyclist, and competitive triathlete, Dr. Oxley is a founding rider of the RBC Whistler GranFondo and has been actively road riding for more than 25 years. He is a proud member of the community and is a member of the Board of Directors of the White Rock Museum. Dr. Oxley is board-certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery. This means Dr Oxley is held up to the highest standards and quality of health care for Canadians. Dr. Oxley is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Rizwan Mian

Dr. Rizwan Mian has been practicing reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery in the Lower Mainland since 1999. He is the Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Fraser Health Authority and is the Chief of Surgery at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgical Centre. He has served on the Provincial Plastic Surgery Executive for six years and is Clinical Instructor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UBC. Dividing his time between reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery, Dr. Mian works at the Royal Columbian, Surrey Memorial, and Eagle Ridge hospitals as well as the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgical Centre. He also carries out cosmetic surgery at local private clinics. Born, raised, and educated in Nova Scotia, Dr. Mian attended the University of King's College for his undergraduate studies and went on to graduate Cum Laude from Dalhousie University School of Medicine. Dr. Mian completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario, and then received a Master of Surgery degree for his work in tissue engineering at the Bernard O'Brien Institute of Microsurgery at the University of Melbourne. Dr. Mian is married to a local physician and has three children. He has been traveling globally for the last decade with a local medical relief organization, where he donates his time to treat children with cleft lips and palates and hand deformities. Dr. Mian is board certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery.
