Pongamia is a legume tree with sees containing oils and fatty acids suitable for biodiesel production.It is now currently being research by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Integrative Legume Researchas a feedstock for the biodiesel industry... Pongamia / Milletia Pinata are a species of plant that must be cloned. Planting from seeds is not economically viable due to large variability in seed grown plants. We provide trees from our library of elite clones selected over 20 years to provide the best yield... Unlike many of the players in the Pongamia space, we have been in this business for over 20 years. We also have an exclusive agreement with the Brisbane City Council for the use of genetic material from the Brisbane City Pongamia trees. These trees have been selected over many decades for their flowering (a yield trait), and from these we have selected even further for plants that yield consistently every year.
