Brittany has been in the veterinary field since 2011, starting as a client service coordinator and then quickly moved to a veterinary assistant role while pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine.
While working in the field, she realized her passion lay more with the business side of veterinary care and carrying out treatments, so she discontinued her studies with science and graduated with an associates degree in small business management. Brittany received her first hospital management role in 2021 and transitioned to a career with Southeast Veterinary Hospital in May 2024. She particularly has a passion for chihuahuas, especially the spicy ones!
While not at work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and their two kids, Avery and Luke, along with her two dogs and two cats. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, and going to the beach as a family.
Dr. Timberlake is recently retired from the military, having served 22 years total between active duty and Reserve Assignments. Dr. Chad Timberlake graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After graduation, he started and ran a successful equine ambulatory service in northern Illinois. The family moved to Florida in 2010 and he has practiced small animal medicine ever since. If you see Dr. Timberlake and want to talk about motorcycles or fishing, please feel free!
Dr. Amstutz graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2021.
She splits her time between surgery and seeing patients in appointments. She is currently working on getting certified in veterinary acupuncture so she can bring a new type of treatment to Southeast Veterinary Hospital! When not at the hospital, you can find her exploring St. Augustine with her husband or spending time at home with their pets. She has a passion for animals and cannot wait to meet the pets in your family!
Dr. Taylor graduated from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023.
She enjoys performing surgeries, and has an interest in both general practice medicine and animal rehabilitation. She has an interest in possibly pursuing a certification in animal rehabilitation in the future. She is very excited to move to St. Augustine with her Newfoundland, Rosie, and get to know all of the clients at Southeast Veterinary Hospital.
When not at the hospital, you will either find her exploring and training with Rosie, or visiting her family back home in Melbourne. She is so excited to join the team and cannot wait to meet all of you and your pets!
