Sam Thompson - President

Sam is the president and owner of Transitions In Business. He is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and a Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI) who has helped countless business owners successfully sell their company. Sam's many years of experience help him seamlessly and confidentially guide business owners from the early stages of selling all the way through closing. Prior to becoming a business broker, Sam was the former owner and CEO of metroConnections, a $16 million conference and event management company with 150 employees. From the sale of his own company, Sam is able to offer valuable insight to current business owners and buyers looking to sell/buy a business. Sam's strengths include a strong work ethic, personally guiding transactions to a satisfactory close, excellent detail/follow up and honesty.

Sandy Brown - CMO

Sandy has over 20 years of marketing and promotions experience, working with large companies, small businesses and on the agency side. Sandy takes pride in confidentially managing the marketing materials that showcase clients' businesses to find the best possible buyer. In addition to the financials, she showcases the other attributes of a business that are important for a buyer to understand before making an offer: such as employees, assets, position in the marketplace, and potential for growth. Sandy also spends time researching the best buyers to approach that would be a good fit for each business. We want each business owner's legacy to continue and finding the "right" buyer allows that to happen. Her research will determine if we should reach out to financial buyers, strategic buyers or owner-operators. Or possibly a combination of all three!
