Charles E. Meusburger

Charles E. Meusburger, MD, is a graduate of the University of Rome Medical School, and he completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is a Board Certified Diplomat of Neurology and Psychiatry, and has been a practicing psychiatrist for more than 25 years. A former Department Chairman of Psychiatry, Residency Director and Medical Director for Behavioral Health Services in a large health system, Dr. Meusburger is an independent practitioner specializing in adult and adolescent psychiatry. He takes pride in providing his patients full 60-minute sessions in order to best understand their unique behavioral health needs and individual goals. He is distinguished among his patients for delivering superior clinical skills in a caring, compassionate, and deeply sensitive manner. Though Dr. Meusburger has a thriving private practice, he also serves as the psychiatrist for a community mental health program that cares for homeless individuals with intellectual and behavioral disabilities. Dr. Meusburger is a speaker on many topics and a published author of numerous articles on behavioral health conditions and management.

Jennifer Hansen - CEO

Jennifer Hansen went from living on the street with a $300-a-day heroin habit to becoming a role model and advocate for those struggling with substance abuse issues. Through her non-profit organization, The Hansen Foundation, she has founded halfway houses and sober living facilities for men and women alike. Jennifer is also a certified yoga instructor, and follows a holistic way of life through organic eating, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and herbal remedies. Her personal experiences taught her that recovery does not end after short-term rehabilitation, and that more resources are necessary to ensure long-term stability and growth. The Hansen Foundation was the beginning, and through Enlightened Solutions, Jennifer seeks to continue filling this void and reaching out to addicts in need. Her experience and deep knowledge of holistic living guides us in providing therapies that teach our clients to care for the earth they live on so that it can provide healing properties for them during recovery and throughout their healthy, conscious lives.

Jennifer Shipman

Jennifer is a highly skilled and compassionate Program Director at Enlightened Recovery, with a wealth of experience and training in the field of substance abuse and mental health disorders. With a caring and empathetic approach, Jennifer oversees the facility's daily operations from both a clinical and administrative perspective. She began her career in the substance abuse field in 2015, and has since gained extensive experience working with individuals and groups struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Jennifer completed her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 2018 and a Master in Social Work in 2019, both from Stockton University. She is a Licensed Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of New Jersey, with additional training in various therapeutic modalities. Jennifer's commitment to providing the best possible care to her clients has led her to pursue additional training in cutting-edge approaches to trauma therapy, including brain spotting, which has shown great success in treating a range of mental health disorders. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. However, Jennifer's qualifications extend beyond her professional experience. She is also in long-term recovery from substance use, which provides her with a unique perspective and deep understanding of the struggle that clients face when seeking treatment. Jennifer's personal journey has inspired her to help others who are also battling addiction and to create a supportive and compassionate environment for clients to heal. Throughout her post-graduate career, Jennifer has worked in supervisory roles, assisting Clinical and Executive Directors in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients. Her dedication to her clients and staff, along with her extensive experience and training, make her a highly effective and compassionate Program Director. Matthew Stilley

Matthew's profound passion for the recovery community was ignited after seeking help for his own personal struggles during his youth. He began his career in 2009, focusing on early intervention strategies for adolescents and mastering the 12 core functions of substance abuse. During this period, Matthew earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (2009) and a Master's Degree in Social Work (2011) from Rutgers University. In his post-graduate career, Matthew transitioned to working with adult populations, addressing co-occurring clients and emphasizing the identification of underlying issues, such as unresolved trauma, that contribute to addiction. Since 2015, he has held various managerial positions in addiction treatment and served as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers School of Social Work, teaching courses within the Addiction Counselor Training Program. As a hands-on executive, Matthew collaborates closely with all departments to ensure comprehensive teamwork, allowing Enlightened Recovery to provide the best possible service to clients and their families. Matthew holds licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, as well as certification as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in New Jersey. He is also nationally recognized as a Clinical Supervisor and Trauma Professional.

Melissa Abreu

Meet Melissa, Chief Administrative Officer of Enlightened Recovery. With 20 years of experience in addiction treatment and 15 years in management, Melissa is a seasoned professional in the field. Her background as a behavioral health technician sparked her interest in addiction counseling, leading her to receive her addiction counseling certificate from Atlantic Cape Community College and a bachelor's degree in human services, specializing in addiction counseling from Springfield College.Melissa went on her education focusing on leadership trainings with a passion for Organizational Management. Melissa has held leadership positions in all levels of Substance Use Disorder Treatment including Clinical Director and Executive Director. Melissa's personal experience in recovery, coupled with her professional expertise, has equipped her with a unique perspective on addiction treatment. As a Chief Administrative Officer, Melissa is focused on creating a client experience that supports long term recovery. Melissa's passion for holistic health and the implementation of Enlightened Recovery's mission and vision to help individuals and families struggling with substance use disorder is evident in her approach to treatment. She utilizes a combination of clinical and holistic approaches, incorporating healing through nutrition, clinical, medical, and holistic practices. With Melissa's leadership, Enlightened Recovery is committed to helping individuals and families overcome active addiction and recover the mind, body, and spirit through a holistic approach and 12-step philosophy.

Robert Snyder - COO

Robert Snyder has been working in the field of substance abuse for ten years, and has been inspired by his clients every step of the way. He has experience in both residential and outpatient settings, and has helped a wide variety of people battling addiction, from adolescents to adults. Robert received his Master's degree, LCADC, and CCS in 2013. He teaches assessment skills for addiction studies as an adjunct professor at Atlantic Cape Community College, and brings a strong educational base to the Enlightened Solutions team to educate those suffering from this disease. As a person in long-term recovery, Robert is active in his community and has a passion for helping others effect a positive change in their lives. Robert finds treating those in addiction recovery fulfilling, and shares what he's learned in recovery with the community every chance he gets. As a part of our community relationship-building activities, Robert brings members of the community and our recovery family together to cultivate an environment of support and togetherness.
