Kelly Jones is Gowing & Co Lawyer's Limited conveyancing specialist and her enthusiasm for her job shines through.

Kelly Wallace is, in large part, responsible for the friendly, efficient ‘smooth ship' that you encounter when dealing with Gowing & Co Lawyers.
After several years working across all areas of the firm's expertise, Kelly is now Practice Manager, shaping the day-to-day running of the business. She is respected by her colleagues for her great coping skills (i.e. the ability to keep multiple balls in the air while maintaining her naturally sunny disposition).
Kelly is registered with the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives and has obtained her Affiliate membership. She is also an integral part of the firm's property team and in April 2020, graduated with her Conveyancing Diploma, qualifying as a Conveyancing Practitioner.
On her days off Kelly enjoys spending time at the beach and on the water, enjoying the Whakatane sunshine. She also loves to write, contributing to well-known local publications on a regular basis.

Meagan Haddock was born and raised in Edgecumbe but has been living in Whakatane for the last 16 years. Meagan is married to Steve and has two adult sons and two gorgeous grandsons.
Meagan is currently the firm's trust account administrator and back-up secretary when required. Capable and ultra-efficient, Meagan is known by Gowing & Co staff as the one always willing to "lend a hand" wherever she can and is widely respected and depended upon by the G & C team.
With previous experience in the legal industry Meagan enjoys the variety of work a law firm provides. "Working in the legal environment is satisfying as no one day is the same". Meagan is also hoping to improve her legal qualifications and in 2021 enrolled to complete her Legal Executive diploma.
Meagan enjoys living in Whakatane and appreciates all aspects of what our town has to offer especially partaking of our lovely cafés and restaurants. In her down time, Meagan enjoys spending her time with friends, family and her grandsons.
After nearly 45 years in the law, there is very little that Roger Gowing hasn't encountered.
That wealth of experience and knowledge he readily shares with colleagues, creating a law firm that is far greater than the sum of its parts.
As patriarch and mentor, Roger models courtesy, respect and attention to detail, forging a team that consistently provides excellent legal services, in which the need of the client is paramount.
Shivaun was born and bred in Whakatane, where she attended Trident High School.
She has been with Gowing & Co Lawyers Limited for almost seven years and during her time with the firm has completed her Diploma in Legal Executive Studies.
Shivaun was previously sole legal secretary to Director & Principal Roger Gowing. Shivaun has proven herself more than capable of meeting any challenges that arise from being the secretary for one of the more experienced lawyers in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and now administratively assists all lawyers in the firm on a daily basis.
Shivaun is widely respected by the Gowing & Co Team for both her sunny nature and positive attitude and is an integral fixture in the firm that her author could not do without!

Our newest team member, Virginia Jeeves, has had an interest in the legal profession since childhood.
Virginia is the creator and editor of Whakatane's well-known and well-loved La Vita magazine and when the Covid pandemic arrived in New Zealand decided to future-proof herself by adding to her repertoire of skills and commencing study in the area of law.
As her studies progressed, Virginia found herself drawn to Property Law and is now undertaking her Conveyancing Diploma.
