Ben Hodson

Ben joined the board of the Garry White Foundation in 2020. He is father to two daughters, Pearl and Florence and husband to Pip. He attended Haileybury College and has a BA (media) from Deakin University. Ben works as a freelance film director in the media and advertising industry and is a director and founder of The Pearl Film Company. He is passionate about environmental and social causes, and has produced film projects for numerous charities including the Australian Marine Conservation Society, Peter Mac Cancer Centre, YGAP's Polished Man, Australian Childhood Foundation and GWF's ‘Ripe for Change' initiative. Ben produces The Hungry Gardener podcast, interviewing incredible people about sustainable food and gardening, and loves time in his garden growing veggies for the household.

Bridget McAsey

Bridie joined the board of the Garry White Foundation in 2022. She is currently on maternity leave from her position as Head of Policy Development at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and is mother to a daughter, Lilla. Before embarking on a public service career by joining the Commonwealth Department of Treasury in 2017, Bridie was a lawyer and worked in a variety of legal roles in London, Moscow, The Hague, Cambodia, and Melbourne, primarily with an international law focus. She holds a BA, LLB, and LLM, all from the University of Melbourne. Throughout her legal career she maintained a strong interest in public interest law and social causes and was heavily involved in pro bono legal programs, including acting as inaugural coordinator for a pro bono legal clinic attached to a community mental health clinic, and providing legal advice to small nation states and NGO attendees at COP21. Within the public service, Bridie has worked in policy roles covering issues such as the regulation of foreign investment, Australia's international obligations, legislative development, and trade policy. She has also been an active member of Reconciliation Committees and in 2018 completed a secondment in the Kimberley, working with an Aboriginal organisation on a youth justice project.

Edwin Hume

Edwin is a father of three and grandfather of five. As a Principal at Duffy & Simon Lawyers, the largest firm in West Gippsland, Edwin continues to enjoy a long and distinguished legal career spanning over 30 years. Edwin has long been involved with the community previously as a Councillor in both Cardinia and Pakenham shires and serving as the first Mayor of Cardinia Shire. Dedicated to supporting disadvantaged members of the community, Edwin currently serves as the President of Outlook Victoria, a not-forprofit organisation catering for the needs of the disadvantaged. Edwin has served as a board member since the inception of The Garry White Foundation.

Lucinda White

Lucinda is the niece of Garry White. She had a ten year career in advertising as a Graphic Designer, during that time she helped co-ordinate art auction fundraisers for the Lighthouse Foundation, helping raise over $72,000 in 2010. She became increasingly passionate about environmental and social causes, and in 2012 she left the advertising industry and started work at her father's foundation, the Peter & Lyndy White Foundation. In 2015 she completed the AICD's Company Director's course and in 2018 she was appointed to the Board of both the Garry White Foundation and the Peter & Lyndy White Foundation.
