Merel Koomen

Merel Koomen graduated as a neuropsychologist at the University of Amsterdam. In addition she studied photography and design at the Rietveld academy of design, and environmental psychology at the University of Amsterdam. Environmental psychology allows her to translate her theoretical knowledge into spatial design. She is currently studying interior architecture at the Royal academy in the Hague. Her passion lies in designing healing environments, spaces that contribute to people's wellbeing. Merel uses her experience to coach people through transition and manage change.

Paul de Vries

In his capacity as an architect, Paul gained significant experience in design and development. He designed several multifunctional buildings with a strong focus on generating synergy between the users and the different functions of the building. He has conducted architectural and urban design research in Sarajevo, Istanbul and Tokyo. In Budapest he worked with the National Office of cultural heritage to research future redevelopment of traditional Hungarian residential/courtyard buildings. He was also involved in the research lab of the Dutch Government Buildings Agency, researching urban renewal initiatives. Paul is an excellent team builder and initiator. He has managed several building projects and has acted on several governance bodies. Paul knows how to bring people together and create momentum.

Simon Droog

As a graduated architect experienced in high-end interior design, Simon is fascinated by the interaction between the built environment and its users. He has lectured at the University of Delft on the psychological experience of architecture and continues to promote environmental psychology in the field. Simon has conducted architectural and urban planning research in Istanbul, Beijing and Shanghai. Simon has a strong eye for detail and specialises in applied design. He has a strong interest in sustainability.
