Catherine Thompson - EVP, Founder

A seasoned real estate professional with more than 31 years' experience in the industry, Cathy Thompson is a co-founder and principal at Thompson Hennessey and Partners. An accomplished tenant and owner representative, Ms. Thompson delivers corporate services solutions to long-term, high-profile clients, skillfully coordinating complex global transactions and leveraging astute economic analysis to achieve the best results and add the greatest value for her clients. Cathy is responsible for over 2.5M square feet of lease transactions in her career. High profile clients include U.S. Trust, ITG, Sapient Corporation, McKinsey & Co. and Boston Beer Company. In addition to her global transactional work, Cathy is active in the Boston market. Cathy originally co-founded Thompson Hennessey & Partners in 1990, and was the Managing Partner for 21 years. In 2011, the company was sold to Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where she was an Executive Director. Most recently, Cathy was the Co-Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield in Boston, until re-opening Thompson Hennessey & Partners in 2015. Cathy's elementary education spanned many Central and South American countries as well as Australia. She is a graduate of Wellesley College, and later the MIT Birthing of Giants Program for entrepreneurs. Cathy and her husband live in South Boston and have five children. In her spare time, Ms. Thompson enjoys riding Harleys.

Donald Hause - EVP

Throughout their careers in commercial real estate, our founders recognized the inherent conflict of interest prevalent in the commercial real estate industry. A real estate professional with over 28 years of experience, Don Hause is the Executive Vice President at Thompson Hennessey & Partners. Over the course of his career has gained extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate including brokerage, investment sales, debt and equity placement, development, asset and construction management. During his career he has facilitated over $1 billion dollars in sale and lease transactions, secured over $100mm in equity for real estate limited partnerships and joint ventures, and acted as the development project manager for nearly 1 million square feet of mixed use projects. Don also has experience in banking, financial planning and wealth management and runs the firm's consulting practice, Legacy Real Estate Advisors. Through Legacy, THP assists High Net Worth Individuals, business owners, and family trusts with the real estate component of their investment portfolios. His work also includes helping business owners maximize the value of owned real estate pre-and-post mergers & acquisitions. Don received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Catholic University, has worked for numerous national commercial real estate firms including Grubb & Ellis, and JLL. He also served as President of a family owned real estate private equity firm and founded his own real estate consulting company called Keystone Strategies which he ran for 8 years. Don lives in Swampscott Massachusetts where he resides with his three children and is currently serving his second term as a member of the Board of Selectman. He enjoys coaching youth sports and is actively involved in fundraising for the Mass General Hospital Cancer Center.

John Hennessey - Founder

During his 30-year career, John Hennessey has provided his clients with diverse and market-leading services, negotiating some of the most notable sale and lease transaction in the industry. John is a co-founder and principal at Thompson Hennessey & Partners, where he focuses on advising and providing strategic solutions for his clients, both locally within the Boston market and globally. A true tenant advisor, John excels at building long-lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships with his clients. While working with existing clients and developing meaningful relationships with new and prospective clients, John ensures the delivery of end-to-end real estate services. John was previously at Cushman & Wakefield where he was the co-managing director and at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank where he was the managing principal for the New England operations. Over his 30+ year career, John has conducted more than 800 real estate transactions many of which have been some of Boston's largest and most notable. John is an active member of the community and served as a board member for The Home For Little Wanderers, a nationally renowned, private, non-profit child and family services agency. He also served on the board for The Boy Scouts of America. John received his Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University, completing his cooperative education at GTE and R.M. Bradley & Co. - a market-leader in Boston's commercial real estate industry. John ultimately was recruited to work for R.M. Bradley upon graduation, and worked on the Prudential Insurance account for many years. John lives in Newton spending as much time with his two sons as possible. He enjoys golf, skiing and is an accomplished pilot. He has competed in and completed five marathons, two of which were The Boston Marathon.

Richard Robinson - Founder

Rick Robinson has been with the Thompson Hennessey & Partners team for more than a decade, becoming a co-founder and principal in 2015. Rick's core focus is on the suburban office market. He works closely with companies in evaluating their real estate needs and providing cost-effective solutions. Rick has been active in the suburban office market for more than 14 years. Prior to joining Thompson Hennessey & Partners, Rick served as vice president at DTZ and as senior managing director at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. Rick is a graduate of Boston College and is a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts. Rick resides in Milton with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys golf, skiing, and coaching youth hockey and soccer.
