Andrew joined Moxon in 2017 and became an Associate in 2020. He was the Project Architect for the Cairngorms National Park Headquarters and Moxon's own Aberdeenshire studio, with both projects being named the UK's best new workplace in the Architects' Journal Awards in 2019 and 2021 respectively.

Ben Addy is the founding Director of Moxon Architects. He is an award winning architect with experience across sectors and particular expertise in projects involving the creation of new public infrastructure. Having established Moxon in 2004, he has cultivated a reputation for technical achievement, aesthetic versatility and an inquisitive, collaborative design process.
Ben was elected to the Royal Scottish Academy in 2020 and was the recipient of the RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award in 2022.
Under his leadership, Moxon has secured a wide variety of major clients, including HS2 Limited, Hauser & Wirth and Transport Scotland. Each of his built projects, ranging from product design to large scale infrastructure, represents a bespoke response to client aspirations, user expectations, technical requirements and context. Ben has significant experience in public infrastructure design with key projects in London, Scotland and abroad. He gained professional recognition early on, being named to the Architects' Journal / Corus top "40 under 40" in 2004.
Elaine provides Moxon's London and Scottish studios with administrative and graphic support, drawing on her wide range of experience in design research, task management, creative problem solving and data processing.
Graduating in Design and Technology Teaching at the University of Edinburgh in 2011, Elaine went on to teach all levels of the Design & Technology curriculum to pupils at the Bridge of Don Academy in Aberdeen. Through teaching theory and practice within a classroom environment she was also able to explore and refine her own expertise in digital production methods and techniques.
Outside of practice Elaine sits on her local Community Council and the committee of an Aberdeenshire based Chernobyl children's charity. She is both a member of the Mountain Bothies Association and a Trustee of the Bob Scott's Bothy Association through which she is responsible for the upkeep of this important recreational and heritage asset.
Ezra Groskin joined Moxon Architects in 2015, arriving with a background in North American and European architectural practice including specialist experience in bridge design and construction. He is an expert in the resolution and definition of complex three dimensional geometry.
Through working closely with world class engineers Ezra has a developed appreciation for structural and formal honesty. He believes that the best architecture is the result of intense collaboration resulting in seemingly effortless solutions that convey a sense of inevitability and belonging. He draws from experience running and contributing to both large and small projects in the UK and abroad. He brings the same solution focused design approach to all of his work regardless of scale, scope or location. Ezra excels within large multidisciplinary design teams as well as complex client and stakeholder organisations. Always on behalf of the end user, he strives for elegant solutions that solve complex problems to exceed the expectations of all parties.
Ezra's involvement in the bridge design community includes membership of the UK Net Zero Bridges Group and the presentation of technical papers at several Footbridges conferences. He enjoys working across design stages and scales, bringing a creative yet grounded approach to all aspects of design. The design of wooden structures is a particular interest which has resulted in the long running collaborations that the practice enjoys with continental European timber engineering specialists.
Outside of practice Ezra is a writer, furniture designer and joiner.
Jamie joined Moxon's Aberdeenshire office in 2016 after studying at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Greenwich, graduating with Distinction in all his courses. His thesis project for Olbia on the island of Sardinia was selected for the Building Design Class of 2013 and in 2014 he was the winner of the Royal Scottish Academy Student Prize and the David & June Gordon Memorial Trust Award.
Jamie is involved in the design of projects throughout Scotland and the UK, many of which are located in culturally sensitive or nationally designated and protected landscapes. This work includes Moxon's award winning studio in Crathie and the new road crossing at Gairnshiel in the Cairngorms National Park that will facilitate the diversion of highway traffic away from an existing Category A Listed bridge: preserving it for the future and maintaining the crucial communication link between Deeside and Speyside while also introducing a subtle and characterful new structure into the rural setting. He is a visiting tutor in the 3rd Year BSc programme at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen.
Jamie enjoys spending time outdoors and is a member of the Mountain Bothies Association, regularly carrying out maintenance and construction work on remote structures and emergency shelters in the Cairngorms.

Jenna is a highly motivated and organised team leader. Joining Moxon in 2019 with a background in large scale public projects her current work includes the extensive redevelopment of the Invercauld Arms Hotel in Braemar, Scotland. She is a specialist in the design of multi-functional buildings and the public and stakeholder consultation required to secure support for complex projects from local user groups, residents and statutory stakeholders.
Jenna's experience also includes a previous role in the Estates Department at the University of Glasgow. During this time, Jenna was responsible for the management of several listed building refurbishment projects and the development of feasibility studies for new education facilities.
Through her experience in client teams Jenna enjoys brief writing and the formulation of robust design and procurement strategies. Her excellent communication skills ensure the open, collegiate and effective working environment that is necessary for a successful and fully coordinated design development and construction process.
Jenna has a keen interest in travel, screen printing and calligraphy.

Justin joined Moxon in 2023, where he is pursuing his passion for bridge design.
Following his undergraduate at the University of Bath, Justin moved to the Netherlands to complete his Masters in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences at TU Delft. Upon returning to the UK he became a registered architect in 2020.
Justin previously worked at WilkinsonEyre for 7 years, within the practice's award-winning bridge team, as well as on large scale projects such as Battersea Power Station and Old Oak Common - the largest new station in the UK since the Victorian era. These projects build upon his interest in public architecture and the design of accessible buildings and infrastructure that create a positive impact on their surround environs.
At TU Delft his thesis explored architecture as an ongoing, community-led process. Regenerating a post-industrial village surrounding a disused coal mine, the project provides the catalyst to empower the local residents to take control of the site. During his studies at Bath, Justin discovered his passion for context-specific architecture, especially on architecture that changes and embeds over time.
Outside of practice Justin is a member of the British Gymnastics TeamGym Technical Committee and for several years has been a judge at the European Gymnastics Championships.
Marcus qualified from the Bartlett in 2015 receiving both the Design Realization Award and UCL's Architecture School Medal. His research work into architecture and videogames was published in Blueprint and the Journal of Architectural Education. He has delivered projects for the V&A and the Design Museum in London, including developing and manufacturing the centrepiece exhibit for the V&A's critically acclaimed Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up exhibition in 2018.
Marcus first worked for Moxon as an undergraduate in 2011 before returning to his studies. He rejoined the practice in 2019 and is currently Project Architect on the forthcoming 305m long opening bridge across Royal Victoria Dock in East London as well as being involved in the design of several high profile structures on the HS2 Phase 1 route.
He is a long distance solo track cyclist while his interest in architectural visualization and representation is reflected outside of work in the development of his photography portfolio.
Mina Shafik was Project Architect on the recently completed Brent Cross Pavilion for developer Related Argent, the first building in a new £7billion neighborhood of 6,700 homes, workspaces and community facilities in North London. Mina had a key involvement in all stages of the project - from the initial competition winning scheme all the way through to the construction and delivery of the project, building invaluable knowledge of mass timber construction in the process.
Mina's experience in commercial multi-use and railway infrastructure projects includes the practice's recent work for British Land and Broadgate Estates at Liverpool Street in the City of London, and his current work developing the consenting packages for structural and architectural assets on Phase 1 of HS2. Prior to joining Moxon Mina led major GRIP 5 & 6 packages at Grimshaw Architects for the redevelopment of London Bridge Station. He was co-located on site at London Bridge for the development of detailed design and later became the main point of contact for site technical queries relating to the construction of the vast public concourse.
As a project lead, Mina enjoys maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors, through clear communication that allows for an effective work-environment.
Fluent in Arabic, Mina is also taking lessons in Portuguese to support his interest in travel.

Rebecca joined Moxon in 2021, after completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture with Distinction at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art. Rebecca was the recipient of the Grace and Clark Fyfe Architecture Masters Scholarship for 2019-2021, and won the MSA Stage 5 Sustainability prize for her final thesis based on the Isle of Raasay.
Since joining Moxon she has been closely involved with the design and development of the Invercauld Arms Hotel Masterplan in Braemar, working to meet the client's commercial and technical requirements while also developing a design that is appropriate for it's location in the sensitive landscape of the Lochnagar and Deeside National Scenic Area at the geographic centre of the Cairngorms National Park.
Rebecca is also leading Moxon's work on the refurbishment and extension of the Braemar Mountain Rescue Base, a project which the practice are carrying out on a pro-bono basis to significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the MRT and provide additional co-located facilities for Police Scotland.
Her creative interest is focused on the relationship between architecture and the natural landscape, and her design work is strongly influenced by her upbringing in rural Lochaber.
Rebecca spends most of her time outside of practice outdoors; she is a trail runner, surfer and climber.
Richard specializes in the design and construction of public infrastructure projects. Current projects include the SPAR Bridge in Dublin and the Hampton footbridge across the river Avon in Worcestershire.
He studied at the Bartlett (UCL) and the University of Westminster, joining Moxon in 2022 after twelve years at Wilkinson Eyre Architects. Richard was responsible for the detailed design of the IStructE Supreme Award winning Lille Langebro Bridge in Copenhagen and he was the joint lead for the roof and steel packages of the forthcoming HS2 & Main Line Superhub at Old Oak Common in West London - set to be the largest new railway station ever built in the UK.
As part of the Bridges to Prosperity programme in 2018 Richard participated in the design and installation of the Kazabe Footbridge in rural Rwanda. Being involved in the construction of the bridge on site was an unforgettable experience for Richard and now the completed 43 meter long bridge provides a safe, year round connection for the local communities of Kigarama and Musabike.
Sarah joined Moxon Architects in 2023 bringing two decades of practice experience working in the Cairngorms National Park. Her portfolio includes high-end residential, commercial and historic restoration work. She regularly works with listed buildings and in sometimes remote locations, taking proposals through statutory consents while ensuring the preservation of historic building features, local identity and the integrity of the surrounding landscape.
From 2016 to 2022 Sarah led on the redevelopment of the Old School in Ballater. This pioneering project was the first housing association project to be completed in the National Park area and provides 24 energy efficient affordable homes to the local community.
During her studies at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen she was the recipient of The Elgin Fund Award and The Aberdeen Society of Architects Silver Medal.
Since joining Moxon, Sarah has been working on the extensive redevelopment of the Invercauld Arms Hotel in Braemar. The scheme includes renovation of Listed buildings and the design and construction of new build facilities that must delicately navigate a restricted site.
Sarah is a keen photographer and hillwalker and has ‘bagged' 61 Munros in the last twelve months.

Suji joined Moxon's London team in 2018 with a background in large scale town planning and infrastructure projects. She studied Architectural Design and Engineering in South Korea before being part of the winning team for the now built Ansan Culture & Art Centre. Suji then moved to London in 2005 to sit her Professional Diploma in Architecture at The London Metropolitan University.
As an Autodesk Certified User expert in BIM workflows, Suji brings efficiency and accuracy to all her work. She is instrumental in the production of consenting packages for Schedule 17 submissions on HS2, as well as TCPA and presentation material for a wide range of projects in Greater London.
As well as her native Korean and English, Suji is also conversant in Italian and Japanese. She enjoys piano improvisation and dreams of one day forming an amateur jazz ensemble.
Tim has over twenty years' experience overseeing and managing projects across sectors including infrastructure, workplace design, retail and residential development. His expertise is in responding to complex briefs on sensitive and challenging sites, demanding the type of creative and contextual solutions for which Moxon is now known. His design work excels at directly addressing clients' aspirations while operating within the constraints of planning and budgets.
Tim's leadership ensures his projects are delivered in a timely manner and are run with the utmost efficiency. Always striving to exceed client expectations Tim develops practical and elegant design solutions regardless of scale or complexity. Combining his drafting skills and keen design eye he emphasises clear communication of ideas, helping to maintain successful collaborations and deliver imaginative architecture that both inspires and stimulates.
Tim has guided the practice's ethos in resilient and low carbon design with a focus on delivering quality built environments governed by the principles of the circular economy. He is an advocate of modern and sustainable construction methods to the benefit of several of our high profile projects. He also has long running experience in workplace design and has a particular interest in the evolution of the contemporary office.
Outside of practice Tim is a road cyclist and swimmer who regularly competes in long distance endurance events.
Tobias joined Moxon in 2022. He is Project Architect on a new pool and leisure complex for Artfarm; the hospitality arm of international gallerists Hauser & Wirth.
Before joining the practice Tobias led the-coordination and resolution of several packages on 21 Moorfields - one of the most complex commercial offices ever to be built in the UK. Providing approximately 65,000 sqm of Grade A commercial office space over 16 stories and across two buildings, the project achieves both the Breeam excellent and Leed Gold environmental standards, and will soon become the new London headquarters for Deutsche Bank.
Tobias was also involved in the design of the HS2 Euston Stations Masterplan where he led the development of the 3D building massing proposals across the site, in line with London view management framework. The scheme considers the key routes and access connections in and around the station whilst also developing both commercial and placemaking opportunities not otherwise identified by the infrastructure proposals.
Tobias enjoys working with parametric design and digital manufacturing tools. Outside of professional practice he has developed and fabricated a number of small-scale art installations in the UK and the United States, including at Burning Man in 2015.
