Abbie Kaufman was born and raised in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Abbie entered the legal field in 1999 as a legal assistant. She decided to further her career and enrolled at Madison Area Technical College in the Paralegal program, obtaining her Paralegal Certificate in 2002. Abbie has extensive experience in plaintiff's personal injury cases. She plays a pivotal role with the firm's clients when they are experiencing the pain and frustration that so often accompanies serious injuries. She is an extremely effective communicator and assists in all phases of our client's cases. Abbie has an in-depth understanding of the process necessary to build a client's file and assemble the necessary evidence to achieve successful outcomes. She first began working with Attorney Matthew DeVos in 2001 and since that time has sat side-by-side through jury trials, court hearings, depositions, mediations and client meetings. Abbie resides in Baraboo, Wisconsin with her husband and two daughters. In addition to her legal career, Abbie also has a passion for dance. From lessons at an early age, to attending many conventions, to performing in The Nutcracker at the Madison Civic Center, she has been active and involved in dance throughout her entire life. Although obviously quite busy as a wife, mother of two daughters and full-time paralegal at DeVos Law Firm, LLC, Abbie still finds the time to teach dance classes part-time at a studio in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Attorney Matthew DeVos was born and raised in Baldwin, Wisconsin, a small town in the northwestern part of the state. He is a 1998 graduate from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota and a 2001 graduate from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison. Matt has dedicated his legal career to handling personal injury cases. He has established a track record of success and has helped hundreds of clients. He will only represent the plaintiff-the injury victim. From pre-lawsuit settlements to jury trials, he has handled a wide range of injury and accident cases, such as s automobile accidents and motorcycle accidents, slip-and-fall injuries, dog bites, dangerous and defective products, falling merchandise, construction site accidents, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice and pharmaceutical negligence-to name only a few. Matt believes strongly that proper representation can only come through an honest, personalized and trusting relationship between a lawyer and a client. Because no two cases are ever the same and there is no "cookie cutter" method of handling an injury case, the best results can only be achieved through an effective attorney-client relationship.
