Amira El-Sayed

Job Titles:
  • Programme Manager at TI Defence
Amira El-Sayed is from Egypt. She is a Programme Manager at TI Defence and Security and leads the campaign for global standards for responsible defence and security governance. Previously, Amira ran the Africa Programme and before that was a member of the TI Secretariat in Berlin, Germany. Prior to joining TI, Amira worked at children's rights organisations in London and Cairo. She holds an MA in Globalisation and Development Studies from Maastricht University.

Andrea Franzoso

Andrea Franzoso is from Italy. He holds a MSc in Law and a MBA from SDA Bocconi. He also attended the Military Academy and now is a screenwriter for "Loft Produzioni". Andrea served ten years as officer in the "Arma dei Carabinieri", where he reached the rank of Captain. Then, he worked for the FNM Group in the internal audit unit and as CSR manager. Today he works as a screenwriter for "Loft Produzioni", the TV production company of the "Editoriale Il Fatto" Media Group. He is also the author of the book "Il Disobbediente" ("The Disobedient"), published in October 2017.

Andrés Hernández

Andrés has served as executive director of Transparency International Colombia since 2017 He has worked for the movement in a number of capacities for the last 20 years. Andrés also worked as a director for citizen engagement for the chapter and as a senior programme coordinator of the Americas at Transparency International Secretariat. In his various roles, Andrés has worked with public sector leaders and private sector businesses to promote integrity, transparency and access to information both nationally and internationally. As the executive director of Transparency International Colombia, he has built the capacity of the chapter by incorporating data technologies, developing the citizen anti-corruption school and strengthening the Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre. Andrés also teaches anti-corruption strategies at Externado University in Colombia.

Claudia Baez Camargo

Claudia Baez Camargo is Head of Prevention, Research and Innovation at the Basel Institute on Governance. Claudia's work brings together academic research and technical assistance with the goal of promoting anti-corruption approaches that are context sensitive and address relevant drivers of corruption. Among other areas, she has conducted extensive research on how behavioural factors, such as those associated with social norms and mental models, can impact anti-corruption outcomes. At the Basel Institute on Governance, Claudia is responsible for the development, oversight and management of the Institute's research activities in the areas of public and global governance. Claudia also works with a broad range of interested stakeholders on consultancy projects aimed at developing context-sensitive strategies to prevent corruption in the public sector.

Cobus de Swardt

Cobus de Swardt is from South Africa. He is the Managing Director of TI, Chair of the International Civil Society Centre, member of the Board of the UN Global Compact and the International Integrated Reporting Council. He was appointed as a Managing Director in 2007. His experience spans the fields of globalisation, development policy, international relations and business management. Cobus has taught and worked at universities, multinational corporations, trade unions and research institutes in managerial and research related roles around the world. During the 1980s and early 1990s, he was active in the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa including as Chair of the African National Congress in Cape Town. Cobus is also a member and former chair of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Transparency & Anti-Corruption. In addition he serves on the Board of the WEF Partnering against Corruption Initiative (PACI). He was identified as one of the 500 most powerful individuals by the Foreign Policy Power Map in 2013 and named as one of the most influential people in security in 2014 by the Security magazine. Cobus holds a PhD in Sociology from La Trobe University, Melbourne, and an MPhil in Political and African Studies from the University of Cape Town.

Danielle Brian

Danielle Brian is the Executive Director of the Project On Government Oversight (POGO). Under her leadership, the organization has grown from two employees and a budget in the thousands of dollars in 1993 to an organization with over forty staff and a budget of six million. POGO is a nonpartisan independent government watchdog whose investigations into corruption, misconduct, and conflicts of interest achieve a more effective, accountable, and ethical federal government. Danielle has testified before Congress over 40 times. POGO's investigative work under her stewardship has received journalism awards such as the Sigma Delta Chi award, the Robert D.G. Lewis Watchdog Journalism Award, the Dateline Award, and others. POGO has received the highest reviews for organizational and financial performance from the three largest charity evaluators in the country: Charity Navigator, Better Business Bureau, and Greatnonprofits.org. Danielle has been recognized by the National Journal as one of the top 50 people changing the game in Washington, receiving top rankings for her impact and innovation in the field of political activism. She is a member of the Freedom of Information Act Hall of Fame, and received the Smith College Medal. Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts in Government from Smith College, and her Master's Degree in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Dante Licona

Dante Licona is a social media strategist and international consultant. Dante has worked in strategic communication roles at the Mexican government, the World Health Organization, and the Red Cross Red Crescent movement. He is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Dante has served as an advisor to senior leaders and regularly speaks at international events.

Delia Matilde

Delia Matilde Ferreira Rubio is from Argentina. She is the chair of Transparency International and the former president of Transparency International's chapter in Argentina, Poder Ciudadano. Delia Matilde has served as chief advisor for several representatives and senators at the Argentine National Congress and has advised the Constitutional Committee of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as the National Accounting Office. Currently, she works as an independent consultant, and has consulted on anti-corruption related issues with international organisations and NGOs, mainly in Latin America. Delia has a PhD in law from Madrid's Complutense University and is the author of numerous publications on democratic culture and political institutions, comparative politics, and public and parliamentary ethics. She was elected to TI's board in 2008 and 2011 and then again as chair in 2017.

Dilhan Perera

Dilhan Perera is from Australia. He is a Research Advisor in the London office of the Behavioural Insight Team (BIT), working across its Home Affairs and International programmes. Dilhan works on the design and evaluation of interventions across a range of policy areas and contexts, including projects to reduce corruption in Tanzania, counter sexual harassment in Bangladesh, and encourage engagement with job centres in France. Since March, he has also helped conduct rapid online testing of COVID-19 public health communications in the UK, Bangladesh and Indonesia. Previously, Dilhan worked as an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Australian Treasury. He holds degrees in psychology and economics from the University of Sydney, as well as a public policy master's from Harvard University. While in the US, he also worked at the Center for Advanced Hindsight, Dan Ariely's behavioral science research centre.

Dr. Allison Anthony

Dr. Allison Anthony (BA, LLB, LLM, LLD) is a senior lecturer in public procurement law at the University of South Africa and a deputy director of the African Procurement Law Unit, Stellenbosch University. She is also an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She specialises in construction procurement law, general public procurement law and administrative law. She published the first book on Construction Procurement Law in 2021 as well as numerous journal articles and book chapters on these topics. She has trained public officials in South Africa on public procurement matters and teaches on the LLM and PGDip in Public Procurement Regulation and Policy based in Stellenbosch University. She is the deputy chairperson of the Administrative Justice Association of South Africa Special Interest Group on Public Procurement which involves a network of public procurement academics, public officials and jurists which deliberate and train on public procurement matters.
