During this phase a person infected with HIV may remain free of HIV-related symptoms for several years despite the fact that HIV continues to be present within the body... Stichting hiv monitoring (SHM) makes an essential contribution to healthcare for people with HIV in the Netherlands. We work with all recognised HIV treatment centres in the Netherlands, to systematically collect coded medical data from all registered persons with HIV.
