Chris Silbernagel

Chris Silbernagel is one of the most experienced architects of Business Intelligence solutions in the industry. He specializes in designing and constructing decision support systems, data marts, and data warehouses to help companies increase profitability, revenue, or market share, streamline business practices, and identify industry trends. Chris has over twenty-five years of experience in the design, implementation, and enhancement of BI solutions, and over 35 years of complex design and development experience. He lectures frequently on the BI topics of dimensional modeling, database design, Data governance, and the selection of appropriate technology for all BI components. He has applied his expertise in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of large-scale Business Intelligence solutions for clients including Price Chopper Supermarkets, Estée Lauder Inc., Chubb and Son, The Orvis Company, and Medco Health Solutions. Chris is skilled in a vast number of technologies, some of the ones most recently applied are Snowflake, MicroStrategy, SAP/Business Objects, IBM Cognos, IBM PureData/Netezza, SQLserver 2016, .net, Java, and SSIS. Silbernagel received a B.S. degree in Building Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1982. When he is not building data warehouses for clients, Silbernagel can be found training in Goju Ryu Karate and Iaido, under a car, on a bike, or in the shop with his sons. He lives in Warwick, New York with his wife, Marla.

Doug Solomon

Doug Solomon is an IDEO Fellow and an innovation consultant. For five years, Doug was Chief Technology Officer at IDEO, the world's premier innovation consulting company, working with clients to develop strategies and leverage technologies that create both business and social value. With more than 30 years of leadership experience at the intersection of technology, business, and people, Doug has a particular interest in collaborative approaches that enable people to innovate in ways they never before thought possible. He currently focuses his time on the domains of strategy, health and wellness, technology, and innovation. Doug's client companies range from leaders in consumer products, healthcare, and technology, to small startups and non-profits. Prior to joining IDEO, he was vice president of investments at Omidyar Network, where he helped pioneer a new approach to socially impactful investing. He was also senior vice president of corporate development and chief strategy officer at both Apple and Palm, and he held leadership positions at a Paul Allen-owned technology incubator, Interval Research, and several technology start-ups. Doug began his career by applying marketing and other business concepts to public health programs in Asia, where he learned the importance of cultural awareness and community involvement in achieving meaningful social change. Doug is a volunteer chaplain at Stanford Hospital & Clinics in Northern California. He advises several startups and non-profit organizations, including the Gates Foundation. Doug has three children, three grandchildren, and a fabulous wife, who all continually teach him how to be a mensch. He earned a master's degree from the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.

Jeff Warren - President

Jeff Warren is the President of the Barkley Consulting Group. He is a creative and innovative thinker who uses a practical, innovative approach to help businesses and institutions explore possibilities of what could be - and to create desired outcomes that benefit the end-user. Jeff has a successful track record of using creativity and innovation to unlock the potential found within people to help them think differently and design solutions that meet the unmet needs of their customers. Jeff has over 30 years of leadership and innovation experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, with a focus on business and technology. He has held a variety of IT executive roles around Business Relationship Management (BRM), Design Thinking and Innovation, IT Strategy Development, IT/Business Alignment, Retail, and Business Intelligence. Jeff is an industry leader in BRM program development, with direct experience building, deploying, and evolving BRM programs for Fortune 500 companies. He has been instrumental in helping companies develop sound BRM strategies and operating models that deliver real value and lasting success for the company. In addition to his consulting practice, Jeff also serves as the Program Director for Design Thinking at Stony Brook University and is a member of the Customer Experience Advisory Board at the University of Wisconsin - Parkside. He has a strong passion for innovation and works with numerous organizations in both the public and private sectors to help them use the Design Thinking approach to drive growth and innovation throughout their organizations. Jeff holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Hofstra University and a Certificate of Professional Development from the Wharton School of Management, University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Master's of Business Relationship Management (MBRM) from the Business Relationship Management Institute. Jeff received his training in Design Thinking at the Design School at Stanford University. He is a guest lecturer and speaker and works in an advisory capacity for start-ups in the technology sector.

Matt Kineiko

Matthew Kineiko is a technology visionary and evangelist who has an innate ability to evaluate the power technology can have on potential business impact. He is an experienced technology researcher who cuts through the marketing hype around technology and defines real value and sustainability. Matthew's ability to identify technology trends and how they can be leveraged in industry has helped many companies optimize their technology investments to meet their business goals. Matthew has over 25 years experience in the technology industry, primarily in the emerging technology space. He is currently the CIO/CTO of Fundamental Business service (FBS) Inc., where Matthew sets all technology strategies and investments. He is also the Founder of a boutique consulting firm, Underhill Technology, which helps companies with technology modernization, enterprise architectural guidance, and emerging technology practices. Previously, Matthew spent over ten years in an IT Executive role at the Estee Lauder Companies, where he held several positions in the Emerging Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Mobile Center of Excellence, and e-Business areas. As the lead practitioner in the Emerging Technology space, Matthew worked with business leaders across Estee Lauder's portfolio of 25+ global companies helping identify significant technology trends that could impact business strategies. With those insights, he partnered with the business to create pilots marrying business vision with top startups and think tanks from Silicon Valley, Silicon Alley, and other technology hotbeds including the MIT Media Lab. He was responsible for the creation of the Mobile Center of Excellence which was an early pioneer in bringing mobile technology to the retail and enterprise spaces. Matthew is a frequent speaker at technology conferences on topics such as Data Warehousing, Technology Modernization, Mobility, and Emerging Technology, and is often asked by Apple and other major technology vendors to speak to their customers about best practices on how to design and implement mobile retail deployments.
