BRS WOODWORKS - Key Persons

Branden Schlaht

Branden Schlaht of BRS Woodworks comes from a long line of makers, doers, and craftsmen. His first project was rebuilding a rocking chair his great-grandfather built decades before. Instantly, Branden was hooked on woodworking and started his business in 2013. He made his first cutting board from the leftover wood from that project. Every single cutting board Branden makes is unique; he takes pride in his artwork and is meticulous about each detail. If the board isn't perfect, it's reworked.

FACE GRAIN

The top side of a piece of wood (the face). Visible flowing patterns and knots where a branch or burl grew from the tree. Typically used for wide sections of wood (face grain sections are usually wider than the depth of the wood).
