HERMIT POND FARM

Hermit Pond Farm is home to a hermit, a pond, a herd of cashmere goats, and an assortment of cats. The hermit is a refugee from the corporate world and city life, with a history in classical music and an undying love for the quiet beauty of the hills in Central New York. The pond offers an escape from chores and a rewarding view of the hills. The cashmere herd consists of 40 - 70 spoiled goats who roam the pastures and produce bags of fine, crimpy cashmere every spring. The cats arrive at random intervals and usually stick around.
