In 2005, I moved to New Orleans. My love for sewing and costuming found a new medium as I began to design and make Mardi Gras costumes for me and my husband. It was the need for a particular costume fabric that inspired me to learn how to create my own fabric designs. The Royal Pak bag design was developed from a need for a lightweight backpack with lots of pockets and storage for my many French Quarter walkabouts and I designed the Party Pak for my daughter's wedding. Several people saw my bags in use and asked about them and the fabric. Finally Quarterthreads was born in 2014 to showcase my NOLA inspired fabrics and custom designed bags... NOLA Inspired Fabrics and Custom Designed Cinch Bags. The Royal Pak is a one of a kind Cinch Bag created to meet the needs of a French Quarter walkabout; suitable in any environment.
