Simon Cope, Owner of Scope Consulting, is a Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers, Chartered Institute of Building and a qualified Claims Practitioner with the British Damage Management Association.
Simon is a qualified CDM Co-Ordinator and qualified as Architectural Technologist in 1992, with HNC in Building Studies from Sheffield City Polytechnic.
Simon started his working career in 1988 at Merryweathers in Rotherham, where he trained as an Architectural Technologist in their drawing office and qualified via educational courses at both Rotherham College of Arts & Technology and Sheffield City Polytechnic. In 1997, Simon decided to try an alternative career path and joined Cameron Durley Consulting, who specialised in handling subsidence claims for insurance companies. This is where his insurance experience started and over many years, developed skills in respect of insurance, remedial and contracting aspects of the insurance claim cycle.
Having been employed in several different roles & organisation's, has ensured that Simon has developed numerous skills that also compliment his Architectural knowledge and skills. Simon's most recent challenges have been due to the extreme weather conditions in the UK, with large quantities of claims involving flooding and storm damage, bringing invaluable experience to his already subsidence expertise.
