Deanne Jaffrey

Deanne Jaffrey joined The Roosevelt Group in 2013 as a dedicated professional with more than 25 years of professional work experience in the areas of management, operations, client relations and public affairs just to name a few. In her role with The Roosevelt Group, Deanne uses her expertise in relationship management, quality control, community and grassroots outreach, and strategic event planning and execution to provide a necessary foundation for building successful public affairs campaigns. In addition, her superior expertise in agency and campaign management, problem resolution, and implementation of innovative and cost-effective strategies enhances the level of services The Roosevelt Group delivers to their clients. Her career has a depth that extends from frontline administrative responsibilities to titles such as Director of Revenue Management, Director of Operations, and Rooms Manager and her quality of work has been consistently recognized. Most recently, Deanne was a key member of the leadership team for the award-winning 2013-2015 Get Covered Illinois campaign, playing a key role in overall campaign management executing leadership in community outreach strategies, and leadership of the team responsible for field support for the 600+ statewide in-person assister network, signature events and specialty audience programs, grassroots outreach and community engagement, development of marketing collateral and event branding, and the nationally recognized 2014 Road 2 Coverage mobile tour. In years past and while working for Wyndham International Hotels + Resorts, Deanne received numerous awards including election to Wyndham's Presidents Forum and certification as a Wyndham Customer Service Trainer. Deanne received her education from Illinois State University with concentrated studies in Hotel Management and Business Administration and is currently an active supporter of community initiatives that empower communities toward effective change. On a personal note, Deanne loves spending time with and being surrounded by her two sons and family. Additionally, she loves all sports - especially extreme sports - and is a 4-year "Tough Mudder" competitor. She is an avid member of CrossFit, enjoys the outdoors, and playing both coed flag football and softball.

As a founding partner with The Roosevelt Group, Mike uses his unique combination of political acumen, strategic thinking and media savvy to help clients accomplish goals and solve problems both big and small. Mike prides himself in seeing the multiple angles of any situation and crafting client solutions that utilize a myriad of tactics, from message development and grass roots activation to direct contact with government decision makers and elected officials. In 2013-2014, Mike used his expertise to serve as co-campaign manager for Get Covered Illinois, the state's campaign to educate Illinois residents about the Affordable Care Act and encourage enrollments in the new health insurance marketplace. Under Mike's leadership, Get Covered Illinois won numerous awards including the 2014 Best Integrated Advertising Campaign from Modern Healthcare and Advertising Age and two Emmy awards for Outstanding Achievement in Public Affairs. A self-described political junkie, Mike also has a 20-year history of winning tough political campaigns and is well known for directing Lisa Madigan's first statewide race, helping her to become the first female Illinois Attorney General. Mike has managed or consulted on more than 50 winning campaigns at every level of Illinois. In addition to these notable achievements, Mike's background includes serving as Legislative Director for the Illinois House of Representative's Democratic Caucus and as a Government Director for the international law firm, Greenberg Traurig. Mike currently serves as a Trustee for Bloom Township in Southern Cook County. In Mike's spare time you can find him on the golf course or cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears.

Victor Reyes - President

With nearly 30 years of experience in government, law, and public affairs, Victor Reyes draws upon a wide range of contacts and experiences to help clients achieve their goals. Business owners and leaders from around the country rely on his counsel to find a clear path through Illinois' complex regulatory system, and he is repeatedly selected as an Illinois Leading Lawyer in the areas of governmental, municipal, lobbying, and administrative law. Victor began his career as an assistant to former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, ultimately rising to the position of Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, where he was responsible for implementing the mayor's agenda in the city council, state legislature, and Congress. After a 10-year career in the public sector, Victor left the mayor's office to lead the Chicago Government Practice of the international law firm, Greenberg Traurig. After accumulating experience in both the public and private sectors, Victor established the Reyes Bonoma law firm, now Reyes Kurson, and The Roosevelt Group lobbying firm. Adding to his entrepreneurial ventures, Victor became a founding partner of Compass Public Affairs in 2010. Victor earned his B.A. from Loyola University Chicago and his J.D. from DePaul University. A native of Mexico, Victor spends his free time with his wife and three children.
