Ashley Williams

Ashley Williams is a therapist with CFC. Ms. Williams completed her Master of Social Work Degree at the University of Southern Indiana. Ms. Williams is currently a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC-Temporary License). Ms. Williams is an Indiana Problem Gambling Awareness Program (IPGAP) Approved Compulsive Gambling Treatment Counselor. Ms. Williams is also trained in EMDR therapy. Ms. Williams provides individual, group, and family therapy.

Audrey Hatfield

Audrey Hatfield serves as Administrative Manager for CFC. Ms. Hatfield is a graduate of the University of Evansville where she studied Political Science and Criminal Justice. Ms. Hatfield currently serves in an administrative role where she onboards new staff members, submits grant proposals, supports our IT manager, coordinates with our Electronic Medical Records company, trains staff on our EMR, and maintains personnel records and supervises our billing team.

Christy Taylor

Christy Taylor is an Evansville native who has been with CFC for 11 years. Ms. Taylor has an extensive background serving clients who are in recovery. Ms. Taylor is trained in Motivational Interviewing and Peer Recovery Support. Ms. Taylor serves as a liaison between counselors and referral sources through written and verbal communication while also overseeing and directing staff in day-to-day operations.

James Akin

James Akin is a practicing therapist with over ten years of experience in the treatment of addiction and mental health. Mr. Akin specializes in the treatment of adolescents and young adults. In addition, he has extensive experience working with the homeless population. Akin is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, holding a Master of Social Work from that university. He obtained licensing from the State of Indiana both as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. He is also certified by the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Mr. Akin is a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist as well as a DMHA Approved Compulsive Gambling Treatment Counselor. As the Clinical Director of CFC, Akin oversees and directs the clinical staff. Beyond this role, Akin acts as a mentor to both interns and younger staff members. In addition, he continues to meet with clients in both group and individual settings. Mr. Akin is the current President of the Vanderburgh County Substance Abuse Council. He has been a member of the council for the past several years and takes an active role in the activities of the organization. Mr. Akin is a member of both the Vanderburgh County Treatment Court and the Vanderburgh County Children in Need of Services (CHINS) Court. Mr. Akin specializes in the treatment of addiction, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and personality disorders. Mr. Akin employs an array of treatment modalities to include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

Katherine Webb

Katherine Webb is a therapist at Counseling For Change with over twenty years of experience in the treatment of addiction disorders. Ms. Webb graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Degree in Sociology. Ms. Webb is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor and ICAADA-CADAC II certified. She is a DMHA Approved Compulsive Gambling Treatment Counselor and has worked with the homeless populations where she was instrumental in establishing a transitional shelter for the Community Action Program of Evansville (CAPE). Ms. Webb is a Certified Employment Specialist. Ms. Webb specializes in the treatment of opiate addiction and has several years of experience working in the field of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Robin Maglinger LCSW - CEO

Robin Maglinger is a practicing psychotherapist with over seventeen years of clinical supervision experience in psychiatric and addiction disorders. Mr. Maglinger is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, holding a Master of Social Work from that university. Mr. Maglinger also has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Evansville. He obtained licensing from the State of Indiana both as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. Mr. Maglinger is one of the few therapists in Southern Indiana that is certified as an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist/consultant. He is an International Certified Gambling Counselor. Mr. Maglinger is the founder of Counseling For Change and is involved in every aspect of the management of the company.
