As a businessman and a visionary leader Ernest recognized the power of offering financial services to those living in poverty in India and South Asia in order to alleviate poverty... Empowered Poor, Inc. is a 501 (C) 3 nonprofit organization that creates and provides opportunities for poor entrepreneurs to become self-employed and end the cycle of generational poverty. Since our inception, we have developed and provided innovative programs that use financial services, microlending, skill training, and support to address some of the greatest challenges facing those living in extreme poverty. They are able to build sustainable livelihoods, provide quality education to their children, and brighter future to their families...
