Established in 1984 and guided by founding director Bernard L. Mirkin, PhD, MD, the research institute became one of the nation's leading free standing pediatric research entities attracting prominent and innovative scientists... The Manne Research Institute has moved its facility from Lincoln Park to its new home, the Louis A. Simpson and Kimberly K. Querrey Biomedical Research Center in downtown Streeterville in June. This new location, just blocks away from Lurie Children's and on the campus of its medical school, will house hundreds of investigators and staff. We look forward to continuing a robust research enterprise to investigate and address the challenges of childhood diseases, including the clinical, genetic, developmental and public health aspects of child health.
