Felix Robbins

Felix Robbins is a registered architect in the UK (ARB) with an extensive experience of architectural practice - combining an understanding of the complexities of large-scale urban regeneration, built experience of private and public projects with limited budgets, and the innovation of advanced digital design processes, architectural interventions, speculative proposals, and published design research. Felix gained a Diploma in Architectural Design from the Bartlett, University College London in 2002, an MArch in 2003 and qualified professionally in 2006. Felix has worked in collaboration with OCEAN since 2000, and has also worked for dECOi architects in Paris and Make Ltd. in London. He is a currently conducting a PhD by Design at UCL. Felix established a-project in December 2013 as a design practice to provide a flexible architectural service that responds to the complexities of contemporary life. It focusses on an open approach to design problems and the complex and multiple factors that shape the process of designing - from social, economic and physical environmental challenges to historic, material and personal narratives.

Gao Yan

Gao Yan is a registered architect in the United Kingdom (ARB, RIBA), and a Professional Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling. Since 2006, Yan has worked with OCEAN CN and OCEAN D in various roles, both in London and in Hong Kong and Greater China. He is Assistant Professor of architecture at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), teaching MArch seminars on synthetic computational design, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and a design studio. In 2010, he co-founded dotA Architectural Design Ltd Beijing, leading teams work on projects ranging from interiors to urban scales. Yan's expertise is in computational and parametric design, within an inter-disciplinary approach to social, economic, environmental, political, professional and technical aspects related to vernacular and contemporary architecture.

Mohamad Ghamlouch

Mohamad Ghamlouch is a registered architect in Lebanon. He studied architecture at L'École National des Beaux Arts in Beirut, and received a masters of Digital Tectonics from the IAAC in Barcelona. He has worked in Beirut, Barcelona, Dubai, Shanghai and Hong Kong, accumulating over 10 years of experience on various scale projects ranging from Museums, educational, mixed use projects and master plans. He has won several competitions and awards including the AIA unbuilt projects award in 2012. His work has been published in various magazines and platforms. He taught various expert computational workshops, including the AA Visiting School and The University of Hong Kong.

Tom is the founder and Creative Director of OCEAN.CN, and co-founder of OCEAN in 1995, and has been company Director of OCEAN UK Design Ltd. since 1996. Tom Verebes has twenty-five years' experience in architectural practice, education and research. He has also served as Associate Dean (Teaching & Learning) in the Faculty of Architecture and is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. Formerly Co-Director of the AA Design Research Lab (DRL) at the Architectural Association in London; and current Director of the AA Shanghai Visiting School as well as a former Guest/Visiting Professor at ABK Stuttgart. Tom has written, published, exhibited and lectured extensively in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
